I had to buy the Safety First infant car seat when we adopted our baby.  We had less than 15 hours notice that we were picking him up and this was the only seat available at our local Wal-Mart.  There are many pros to this seat.  First, it was cheaper than many others.  Secondlu, the shoulder straps can be loosened from the front.  Thirdly, it is relatively easy to remove and adjust the height of the straps.  There are also several cons.  First, the seat is heavy without the baby (but most are), and by the time the baby is around 15 pounds, it is a chore to lift.  Secondly, it doesn't fit a shopping cart very well.  Thirdly, it is not interchangeable with Graco strollers (which I already had).  Fourth, it seems wider than other car seats and when used on high chair in restaurants, tends to get "wedged", requiring major pulling when leaving. On the whole, I think that this is a good car seat and am happy with it overall.

My wife and I are very budget conscious, so when we saw this car seat on sale at costco, we decided that this was going to be the best car seat for our first child, and hopefully we would be able to use it for our future children. We have not had any major problems yet, however when you go lock the car seat into position in its base in the car, you need to make sure it is locked in, because although you may hear a click, that doesn't necessarily mean that the car seat is locked in, which I am glad I figured out before an accident happened. Our car seat also came with a matching stroller which was a really good thing. We use the stroller all the time and it has held up really well, one thing that could have been improved would be the number of compartments for the stroller, which is no big deal. With the car seat, I wish it would have come with the handle that is configured differently to make easier to hold.  Besides that, no complaints.

I bought this car seat before I had my baby and was looking for one that would hold up to 30 Ibs because I didn't want to have to buy another seat before she was 1 year old and I wanted to be sure she could still fit in case she happened to be a chunky baby :)   My daughter only weighed 19 pounds at a year but atleast I had peace of mind that I wouldn't need a new seat before that. :)  I liked this safety first infant car seat and it worked really well for us. I felt that my baby was comfortable and safe while in this seat and would recommend it to any of my friends.

The eddie bauger car seat is the best car seat. My child seems to be comfortable in his seat. I have used other seats and nothing holds up to Eddie.The seat has enough pading to cushion his butt. I like the steardiness of the car seat. I am impressed in the durability of the car seat. I feel my child is safe in eddies' products. I have used them since he was born.

This saftey1st product is highly recommended by me! It is the perfect carseat for "on the go" Moms. The carseat comes with a base, allowing you to buckle baby in without the hassle of buckling baby in! it has a pull bar on the back to release the locks from the base. Also, this is perfect if you are grocery shopping, you can latch the carseat on to the cart and if for some reason it won't fit, there are also grooves on the back of the carseat to hook on to to the childseat back part of the cart. It has five positions for the harness. So, when your baby grows a little more each week, it is easy to change the position of the harness to best fit your baby. The inside of the seat is very soft velvet so this carseat is best for winter months. He or She might get too hot if they have to sit inside the carseat for long periods of time. The look is beautiful, an elligant design. I love the colors of mine, pink and brown with a flower design.

Our Safety 1st carseat was given to us from a friend who had just had a baby and no longer needed theirs which was a great blessing. It is a good carseat and does just fine to keep our baby safe and is easy to take care of. I'll just do this likes and dislikes. Likes: Cover is easy to take off, wash and put back on which comes in handy if you have a baby who spits up a lot or who poops all over as ours did :) Dislikes: It took us forever to figure out how to fasten the base in the car. In fact a few times when we changed cars, we didn't even use the base because it was too frustrating to try and figure out just how to fasten it without the instructions. The sunshade on our seat is all bent. I'm not sure if it was the Arizona heat or what we can attribute it to. It just looks all askew. If I was buying a carseat I probably wouldn't buy this kind just because of the frustration in getting it into the car. Also we now need another car seat now that our daughter is just 5 months old.

My daughter bought her a very safe and recommended car seat for her 7 week old son before she had him.  She drives a Dodge Neon and the car seat is so big she had to put it in the middle and it still sticks out to the front of thre car.  I think car seats ought to come with directions on what cars will be right for the car seat you bought.  i am a concerned grandmother.If they had a ist of what carseat fit in what cars, I think that would be a lot safer for baby and everyone concerned. The looks of the carseat are great, it does not look cheap its a nutral color for both boy and girl. It seems to be a very comfortable seatbecause we never hear any complaints from my grandson

I really liked this carseat. It was very inexpensive, but very reliable. One of the main things I liked about it is that it was light weight. I see moms lugging their carseats around, and they look like they weigh 100 lbs, but this carseat was easy to carry and transport. I also really liked the look and pattern of my carseat. The colors were very neutral and mild - nothing too busy. I could have used this carseat for either a boy or a girl. I also felt that my child was safe whenever we drove anywhere. The ability to snap it in the base and lift it out made it very easy to get in and out of the car quickly. I also felt that this carseat was comfortable to my baby. He actually slept in his carseat for the first two weeks we were home from the hospital and had no problems. He slept soundly and I was very reassured that he was  comfortable and happy. I feel that this carseat offers a great value and quality for the money.
