Simple but it works

3

We purchased this booster seat to replace our large high chair since it takes up a lot of space.  Well, we still used our high chair for over 9 months after we bought the chair so that doesn't look very good.  While it is simple and convenient, that is also its downfall.  The straps that hold the child are very difficult to loosen, but the straps that hook the seat to the chair are difficult to keep tight.  I like that the height of the chair is adjustable.  It is nice to have the attachable tray, but I think it is too low.  It would be nice if it was a few inches higher.  We have used this when we travel, and I think it is very convenient for times like this.  However, if I could, I would go back and purchase a better booster seat as this does not seem like something we will want to use long term.  I will likely buy a new one with our next child and use this as back up for when family visits.

great 4 limited space

We bought this chair for our 1 year old so she could eat at the dinner with the rest of the family. We had a traditional bulky high chair and this new one works great. The tray pulls off easily as long as you lift the tabs up and to the sides versus just straight up. The seat sits great our on dining chair. I would never leave my daughter unattended regardless of any safety grade on a booster chair. I think any chair would be dangerous if not used properly. This works great for our needs. The straps position exactly as pictured in the photo on the picture/packing box--no problem with them so far. We did experience a problem with the Safety First swing tray feeding seat at a relative's house. Our daughter at 10 mos pulled the tray right off the seat and completely broke the tab off the swing tray. I wouldn't recommend that chair, which is why I purchased this one with the pull tabs on the side.

The Safety 1st Booster is a Lifesaver!

I purchased this booster chair for my son when he was 8 months old. We needed something small and convenient to use while visiting family in another state. Obviously, purchasing a full-sized high chair or bringing our high chair from home was not very practical. I found this booster while comparison shopping and instantly loved how affordable it was.  I bought this and right before lunch time, I set it up. I was pleased with how easy it was to assemble. It included the booster and buckles that simply needed to be attached and secured to a regular chair. The only problem that I have encountered is that the tray can be difficult to attach and take off of the booster seat and when you do manage to do so, it makes a sound that makes you think that you have broken the plastic. In fact, after a few short months of sporadic use (we only use it about every other month for a few days or so each time) it is showing signs of wear. There are stress marks on the side of the tray where it snaps to the booster. I can only imagine how much worse that would be with everyday use. Other than that, it has been a lifesaver and I especially enjoy how convenient it is to pack up and put away for future use. I am looking forward to using it as my son becomes a toddler and transitions to using it as a booster seat instead of a portable high chair. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to occasionally use but definitely not for everyday use.
