Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy saved an old freezer

5

I bought a freezer from my cousin for our small rental apartment. I didn't want to put a lot of money into it since it was for a rental. I just thought it would be a nice thing for our tenants. But when I saw the freezer I started to have second thoughts. It had been stored in the basement and had some small rust spot splatters on the front of the freezer. Otherwise it was in great shape and wasn't old at all. So I headed to the hardware store to see if I could find some paint that would work on appliances. I found Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy and thought I might as well give it a try. I couldn't use the freezer in the condition it was in. So I had nothing to lose. I'm happy I decided to give it a try because the freezer looks like new again and it couldn't have been easier to do! Quality Very high quality paint. One of the best brands around. Durability Extremely durable. It holds up to bangs and bumps. Coverage Covers easily and beautifully. Ease of Appliation Couldn't be easier to apply.

I really was surprised when this paint worked. I think that we have just accepted that products are never going to do what they claim that they can. This paint is inexpensive, easy to use and last a long time. I bought a quart of the black appliance paint to repaint my stove and was very happy with the results. Quality The Rust-Oleum brand is an excellent paint when it comes to stopping rust and sealing metal surfaces, I didn't expect it to do so well on appliances. It is the same high quality that I have come to expect from this brand, just in a new area. Durability It has been well over 10 years since I repainted my stove and it still looks just as good as the first day that I painted it. And it just happens that about 2 or 3 months ago I came across this old quart of paint and I opened it up just to see if it had dried up and WOW it was still good and showed no sign that it had been on a shelf for all that time. Coverage As I have already mentioned I had about 1/3 of the can of paint left over, so that just goes to show you that it must be easy to apply and have outstanding coverage, and it is also just an overall great can of paint.. Ease of Appliation It is so easy to use just a little prep of the area to paint and you are ready to see your old appliance take on a new life. Really try it and see.

New look for old stove top.

What a great product to use. When I first tried the Rust-Oleum Appliance Paint I was thinking it would be great for just cover up on my old stove top. Wow was I pleasantly surprised when I completed the job. It was such an easy application. I took the stove top off of my built in stove and carried outside to paint. I lightly sanded the top with fine grit sandpaper first but just lightly no heavy sanding done here. Then I applied the Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy just real evenly until I completely covered the stove top. After drying and installing back on stove I was very happy with the new look it gave off. Well its been a year and lots of cooking and it still looks great. I have used all my regular cleaning products on the stove top and they have caused no problems at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in need of a new look for an old stove top or any other appliance. I was ready to replace this stove even though it worked great but looked so bad (that 70's yellow color). So just think how much money this saved by repainting instead.

Great product!

This epoxy works wonderfully as long as you take the time to properly prep the surface.  We repainted some very old metal cabinets following a thorough cleaning and sanding.  The epoxy covered and adhered wonderfully!  My grandmother was thrilled with her glossy "new" cabinets.   As with all sprayed paints, one needs to use several light coats rather than one heavy coat to achieve the best results.  On a seperate occasion, we painted an older refrigerator to match some new appliances and the results were the same.  Great product for the do-it-yourselfer!

Works great even in the salt air

I bought this product for a rod iron patio set for my beach condo. I was unsure if anything would hold up to the harsh salt air, but I must say this product works great. I used it a year ago and my furniture still looks brand new. I have used inside as well and it seems to be long lasting and holds up well against rust.

Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy made my white fridge stainless steel!

Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy is a fast drying, great-looking renovation for old appliances that work great but out date your decor. We used this on our refridgerator in our kitchen. When me moved in to our house, our kitchen came equipped with all stainless steel appliances except a refridgerator. We moved our old white refridgerator in and it stuck out like a sore thumb! I always hated the way it disrupted the flow of the kitchen but didn't want to spend the money on a new stainless steel replacement when the one we had worked perfectly. We painted the refridgerator using Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy in Stainless steel. I just taped off the handles and ice maker on the front. We put on 3 coats and you would never be able to tell by looking that the fridge was anything but genuine stainless. It doesn't feel as smooth as the real thing but it doesn't show fingerprints either. The refridgerator now looks great in our kitchen and no longer is an eye sore!
