Worst crap I have used in years!

1

After following the directions trying to cover existing paint on PVC that was lightly sanded for paint to stick, several coats were applied and now have to sand down all the crackles that appeared!

I would not purchase again

This paint went on very well. 2 full days later it has not frayed yet. I would not recommend. The can says dry to touch within 20 minutes, but it's still tacky after 48 hours.

Don't buy it

I've been a contractor since 1989. I've used every spray paint on the market. Regular Rustoleum spray paints are good. But don't buy any of the Risyoleum spray paints that have '2X' on the label. They will not dry. I repeat THEY WILL NOT DRY. Example: I went ahead & used the black gloss 2X paint on a small, metal mailbox I repainted. No need for primer. I wiped the box clean. I sprayed 2 light coats. That was yesterday at 4pm in Alabama HEAT. Today at 11am the paint is still tacky! It's absolutely ridiculous. I've called the company previously this year about the same paint & their advice was waiting ridiculous amounts of time between coats. Something is not right with the 2X paint. And by the way, it really doesn't cost any better than any other spray paint. Actually, if you need to get something FONE FOR USE, the USE ANY OTHER SPRAY PAINT.

Awesome Spray Paint

I love spray paint. It is such a fantastic way to change the look of things you already own, to suit your new taste. It is so much less expensive than going out and buying all new items. The only problem is that if you buy the wrong spray paint it can absolutely ruin what ever project you are working on. I love the Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X Coverage Gloss. It covers so well. It doesn't run all over the place like some brands. It sprays out very nice and evenly. No random spurts like other brands I've tried in the past. This is a really durable paint. I recently used it to paint my mailbox. The mailbox was originally black plastic. I chose a shade of mint green spray paint. The Rust-Oleum brand is well known, and I was happy I went with it. It's a high quality product. It covered the black plastic easily even though the shade of spray paint that I picked out as much, much lighter. It has lasted outside through rain and hail and sun so far. I will have to see how well it holds up through the snow this winter. I have high hopes though since it still looks so good now. I would definitely recommend this brand of spray paint to anyone looking to spruce up their home. It works so well and is very simple to use. The finish is nice and the color is true to the shade shown on the cap.

Excellent High Gloss Paint

I can call myself a Casual-Do-It-Yourselfer, I enjoying turning old worn down things into vibrant usable items. It amazes me at how a coat of paint can make something look brand new. Here lately I've been working with wood furniture, and decided to pay the extra to try out Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover 2X Coverage Gloss. This brand is one of the best, but this particular line is top notch! I had a small dresser that I used this on, the original paint was flat and the wood had no finish. The spray nozzle sprays a wide even coat, I never dealt with it sputtering or getting stopped up. I started off spraying a light coat, let it completely dry, then went over it again with a heavier 2nd coat. I didn't have any runs in the paint, and the glossy shine is beautiful! It's as shiny dry as it is when it's wet. The dresser turned out beautiful, I used 3 coats of paint, 2 wouldve been fine and the best thing is I didn't need to add a gloss coat afterwards nor did I use a primer. The coverage is fantastic, let me explain how great the coverage is, this dresser belonged to a family with small children. They had used permanent marker to write their names on the dresser. I liked the look of this furniture, but was skeptical that I would be able to completely cover the markings. Taking a chance I skipped priming over it, and it paid off because this paint completely covered the marker. I have used a variety of spray paints, this particular kind is my all time favorite. It comes in a variety of colors and leaves a high gloss finish.

love the high shine

I recently found the wooden rocker of my dreams at a flea market. Unfortunately, the old paint job on it was a nightmare. I wanted a nice glossy look to the chair to match the lacquered look of my end tables. My aunt had recommended this brand to me as she had painted two of her vintage end tables with it. This paint did not disappoint. I got a wonderful sheen from it, with no streaking or bubbles. The paint adhered nicely to the chair. I only had to do two coats, even though it had much discoloration on it. I did follow this up with a nice clear glaze, also by Rustoleum . Quality Nice rich deposits of color. No streaking or running. Durability I have not seen any nicks or scratches in the paint, despite it being the .most popular chair in our family room! I did add an extra coat of shine but the initial gloss of the paint was phenomenal. Coverage Less than two cans covered an old ugly rocking chair. I even had some left over for touchups which I didn't even need! Ease of Appliation The spray came out nicely with little or no clogging.

Saved my rocking chairs!

We had some really old rocking chairs that had actually belonged to my grand mother that were looking very old and really needed to be redone. My husband thought that we should toss them out but I knew that I had to save them and make sure that they were passed down. I went out and bought this Rust-Oleum in the glass Apple red because I thought that the color would pop on my chairs sitting on my porch. This product was extremely easy to apply, it went on very even, and it dried fast and dried without running all over the place. The finished product turned our far more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined and I am always getting complimented on how well the chairs now look. The paint has lasted a while now and I have not even had to touch it up yet, it really stands the test of time and the test of the crazy elements that we have here. This is great for something you plan on restoring that you want to look beautiful and last for a very long time.

Works fantastic

This is a great project paint for high traffic use. The color is so rich, beautiful and true to life. I used this apple red and the blue and green paint too. I used this paint on some wooden spice racks to turn them into book shelves for a playroom. The paint covered smoothly and thick. We hung these bookshelves on the wall where two year olds hang on them, bang them up with books and toy cars. The paint has held up wonderfully. There are no chips in the paint. We are pleasantly surprised. I also took the left over paint and painted a few plastic black picture frames. The color went on smooth and rich as well. We hung these on the wall where no one will be touching them but so far the paint has held up. It hasn't bubbled or peeled off the plastic frames. We have received so many compliments on the richness of the color on the frames and bookshelves. I highly recommend this paint to everyone.

Awesome coverage! Wipe out those tedious projects quickly.

When my best friend got engaged and asked me to be her Maid of Honor I was really touched, even when it meant spray painting two hundred tree branches for wedding reception centerpieces. When I started the project I used discount generic spray paint from the craft store. The coverage was so bad that four layers on only two branches wiped out an entire can and was still transparent. I returned the remaining cans and took my refund to the hardware store. There I picked up Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X Gloss. What a difference! 10 Branches + 1 can of spray paint + 1 coat = Done! I wiped out all two hundred branches in a matter of hours. Needless to say, when my mother-in-law wanted ideas for a fast, affordable way to add color to her kitchen, I suggested painting her cabinet doors. I knew just the paint to use too! We took the cabinet doors out to the yard on drop clothes, removed the hardware, hit them with two coats (for durability in a kitchen) of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X Gloss, let them dry thoroughly, attached the hardware then re-hung them. The effect was immediate and incredible. I'm happy to report that two years later they still look freshly painted too!

Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover is great for cover ups

I purchased the Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X Gloss Apple Red to cover up some rust stains on some of my outside patio furniture. I decided on red because it brightened up my porch and my gorgeous patio furniture. I painted a iron table, 4 iron chairs and a iron pot stand. I was so happy. My furniture was so beautiful. It certainly stood out. It looked great on my big white porch. It looked brand new. I was very satisfied with this paint. I even recommended it to my Mother whom also has used this brand a few times and she loves it, as do I. Quality The quality of this paint is great. It does not run or drip and it leaves whatever you are painting with it looking nice and vibrant. Ease of Appliation This paint was very easy to use. It comes in a spray can and is very easily used to spray paint anything. I do prefer to use this paint outside because it does have a strong odor that can cut your breath and is not good to breath in. It's best to paint it outside in some fresh air.
