We started out using these to sort & organize our home-based business inventory. We chose them for their size and stackability and they worked perfectly. We were able to store plenty of items (clothing, in our case) in each container and were able to stack 2-3 boxes on top of each other, maximizing our floor space. The lids latch onto the box, making the closure secure so we felt that the clothing was protected and we also felt that the lids weren't going to fall off easily when we moved the boxes around. We also liked that the lids were flat and sturdy, so that we had no problem stacking these, knowing they'd stay upright and withstand the weight of the other boxes. We did fine the size cumbersome to move but we compromised that for capacity.
