My English Bulldog didnt like this food

1

This is the food that the breeder was using when we purchased our bulldog so we continued to use it but she never wanted to eat.We thought maybe she was sick because she acted like either she wasnt hungry or just didnt like it. She also has skin problems so I started to look for a different natural brand of dog food and I found Blue Buffalo. She ate the entire bowl of Blue Buffalo when i brought it home and I have seen an improvement in her skin since we switched as well. I see tons of reviews on people who love this food but it just didnt work for us. They have a bulldog specific blend so we were dissapointed in switching but she just didnt seem to like the flavor. It also has corn which is an ingredient that makes some dogs sick.

This food changed my dog's life

5

One day my dog will stop eating his food, maybe because he got tired of it or he didn't like it. Who knows it's a dog thing. So I went to my local pet store and this nice employee reccomended me this food which was really popular for dogs. And I bought it even though it was a little pricey. I will do ANYTHING for my dog. So the next day when I gave him the food he LOVED it. I never seen him so happy, he made me him. It is worth every dime, penny nickel!! It is absolutely something I would reccomend to anyone with this kind of problem or just wanting to buy a new type of dog food. This will really be loved by your dog. It makes a lot of promises but it keeps it. Plus it contains no Animal By Products. It is Crunchy and Fresh that I want to try it! Just kidding but it looks different in a totally good way. I loved it and so will you. The only downside that it has is that it has corn, which is a major allergy in dogs.

I've only used this food for my dog - it's so healthy for him!

Great dog food - they eat less and poop less! I've used this food since he was a puppy and I had to switch once to a food that made him go to the bathroom a lot more. I switched right back and will never try another dog food. This line of food is suggested by numerous pet stores as well.

Avoid it!

1

I would avoid this food -- and any other food that is supposedly made "specifically" for a certain breed of dog. It's all a marketing ploy.  For instance, the ingredient list for the "Bulldog" formula starts off with: "Chicken meal, rice, brown rice, oatmeal, pork meal, rice flour, chicken fat, natural chicken flavor, dried beet pulp (sugar removed), soy protein isolate".  So while it "starts" with a meat meal, it then is followed by 3 grains in succession.  How this is supposed to be specific for Bulldogs I can't fathom!  Bulldogs have a lot of allergy issues, skin mainly, and this food isn't going to fix that.  Plus see below... other "breeds" are getting just about the SAME ingredients.. so how is this SPECIFIC???? Here is their "Golden Retriever" food first set of ingredients:  "Chicken meal, brown rice, oatmeal, rice, corn gluten meal, chicken fat, natural chicken flavor, powdered cellulose, dried beet pulp (sugar removed)..."  And their "Pug" formula:  "Chicken meal, brown rice, rice, ground corn, oatmeal, chicken fat, corn gluten meal, natural chicken flavor, soy isolate, dried beet pulp (sugar removed), wheat gluten meal..."  I say AVOID it! Don't fall for their marketing ploys and feed your dog a wholesome fresh diet instead!

Royal Canin Bulldog Food has been the best food for our Bulldog!

5

We have a two year old female English Bulldog and this has been the only food she's had since she was about one year old. She's a wonderful dog and I love everything about her, except for her bad flatulence. She's stinky. I will say that this food is clearly easier for her to eat and also if you monitor the portions it will keep your bulldog in great shape. We have two dogs and the Bulldog has the best health score between the two. Although the bag will tell you to feed more than needed I tend to stay within the range because she's lean and small in general. I will say that the food is expensive and isn't really premium ingredients, but it does get the job done. She still is a bit gassy, but it is definitely better.  I was recommended this dog food from my breeder. We've discussed breeding our bulldog and she told me that when she feeds this to her pregnant bulldogs she's had less of an issue of water puppies. I would recommend the dog food to anyone, but would love for it to do a better job on the gas aspect.

Don't fall for it!

1

Um, yuck? I can't believe so many people fall for the marketing gimmick.  Just because it has a picture of your dog's breed on the front does not mean it's a healthy food!  Look at the ingredients, it's full of by-products, fillers, grains...all the things that will surely cause your bully to have allergies.  I have 2 Bulldogs and both are on Orijen.  Never had a single allergy issue, or any health issue for that matter.  How many Bulldog owners can say that? Look at the ingredients of the Bulldog formula vs. the chihuahua formula.  The ingredients are practically identical, for the exception of maybe one or two.  This is a genius marketing scam on their part and people fall for it!  There are much, much, much better foods for this price, don't fall for it!  Bulldogs have enough issues as is, without being fed crappy food.  Do your Bulldog and your pocket a favor and get some high-quality grainless food, like Orijen.  Your dog will thank you for it!

Cheaper food does the job than Royal Canin...

Canin dog food is not what I use regularly, and I probably will not be buying this food in the future for regular use either after I try it out. There is overall nothing wrong with this bag of dog food. There just is not something that appeals to me that would make me keep going back and buying this brand. It is quite bland. And my dogs, for some reason, don't eat this brand as fast as my other stuff. The price is a problem. I got this from a local supermarket, and maybe the local supermarket is marking up the prices without thinking. I am not sure. However, I usually buy a store brand, and my dogs prefer that one. Maybe my dogs are cheap, LOL. But humor aside, there is just something weird about this phenomenon. Once I use up this bag, I probably won't go back to this. I also want to point out that while mixing this with my regular store brand, my dogs chow down the food quite fast. Maybe there is a certain texture or smell that my dogs not prefer. But on hungry days, they seem to eat everything with no problem. I feel guilty writing a semi-bad review for this, but this is how I feel. Again, I just want to make it an important point that there is nothing wrong with this brand. I just don't prefer this over other ones. I am sure it is nutritious and all, but somehow, I am just turned off by it. Other users on this site seem to love it, though. I probably am one of the few rare ones. Oh well.

My Bulldog loved this food was definetly quality and the price was very good compared to other brands. He started gaining weight he was too thin and had so much more energy. I love that he loves his food. I have not seen him like this since he was a puppy . He gets so excited now when it is feeding time. I would definetly recommend this food to any one who has a large breed of dog especially high energy dogs this is the best food ever. A friend of mine works at a pet store and recommended this food I cannot thank her enough and he doesnt fart anymore no price on that for sure.  lol  Please tell everyone you know about this dog food you will see an amazing difference in the attitude in your beloved dog all the way to the way they play. The price is a little steep but they deserve to be fed just as well as how we like good quality foods also.Remeber to tell you friends my Dog loves his Royal Canin
