The Rowenta DW8080 iron is the single best iron I've ever owned...and I've owned many! Of course, it's an expensive appliance, but I'm very glad that I finally made the investment in a solid iron, rather than having to replace my cheap ones every few years. Firstly, the steam that this iron produces is fantastic, it's hot, clean and generates quite a bit of steam from a single water refill...that alone is great because I don't have to make several trips to get more water! I do a lot of steaming (men's shirts etc), and this is a huge feature for me. I also love the way it glides over fabrics of all types. It's so lightweight and steams so "cleanly", that there's very little friction between the iron and the fabric...the iron almost feels like it's "driving" itself over the fabric. In short, I'm VERY happy about this purchase.
