I have had this Rival electric can opener for a long time,longer than I can remember.It has never once failed me.It is a basic electric can opener that is very easy to use.I also remember it costing very little. Sometimes, the simpler a product is, the better it is.No luxery parts to break down. It does a very good job. I simply hold the can up to the blade and push down on the handle.It turns the can around until the top is opened all the away around.It has a magnet to catch the lid so it doesn't drop down into the can. This particular model is called the "Easy Touch". It is just that .An easy touch to the handle and it opens your can for you. My Rival, Easy Touch, model # 726 has not only lasted a long time , but is has never given me a minutes trouble. It continues to work like a charm each and every time. I have certainly gotten my moneys worth out of it and then some. If you are finding yourself in need of a new electric can opener, I do recommend this basic electric can opener.
