Rival Deep Fryer produces professional tasting foods

*After several weeks of researching different deep fryers, including professional equipment gas and electric, I found this unit is the perfect size for a family of 4. Although my boys are 8 months and 10 years old, for the time being **this Fryer by Rival stands up to every test I have given it.** * *From home made french fries to tender fish to hush puppies and chicken to veggies and fried pies, each comes out perfect every time. * *The timer could be a little louder, but that is the only thing I would change.  * *The heating element is easy to remove and it comes with a large rectangle basket that can be lowered with the lid open or closed. * *The entire unit is easy to clean.  Black and silver cool touch outer shell and the one piece interior with the removable heating element makes cleaning not only quick, but very easy.* *The Rival Deep Fryer CZF725 heats quickly and has easy to read indicator lights when ready or not. **Green means go!**  The timer is easy to use as is the temp control.  I love everything about this Fryer. * *I hope that as my boys get older that they will make larger Deep Fryers modeled after this unit. If not, then I will have to buy another one and just use two, which is not a bad idea if you use it for fish and chicken and well as veggies and fries. That way you would not transfer taste or have to change oils out or use expensive oils made not to transfer tastes of foods like chicken and fish fried in the same oil.*

Best Rival Deep Fryer

5

When I was a kid my favorite food was french fries. Now that I'm an adult, I know that like cake, fries are a sometimes food. So on those special occasions, I want them to be perfect. That's why I have this Rival Fryer. I have made fried chicken, donuts, funnel cake, apple fritters, wings, fresh tortilla chips, the best chicken fried steak ever, potatoes of all sorts, croquettes, hush puppies, and amazing onion rings. It is easy to turn on and although it does take a fair amount of oil, it doesn't take terribly long to heat up. I have not had any problems with this since I got it and I love cooking for a crowd so it does get its use. The wide cooking area is good for large things like funnel cakes or chicken fried steak and the basket is easy to pull up to check on how things are looking. I love to cook and I try to get good value for my money so this fryer was a good purchase for me.

This Rival deep fryer is at the bottom of my list and beyond.

***The Rival CZF725 deep fryer was a Christmas gift I received. It didn't last until Easter. The heating element went out after only three months and the company refused to take care of the problem. I went back to using my old Presto deep fryer. I wouldn't recommend wasting the money on this Rival CZF725 deep fryer.***

Don't waste your money unless you want oil all over the counter

The seal on the fryer goes bad very quickly and you will find hot oil leaking all over your counter. It was not overfilled and now I feel better in that I have found this same problem on several sites. THe latch does not hold the lid down properly and when the oil heats up and things inside are moving around, the basket pushes the lid up. It is very dangerous. I thought I overfilled the first time, so I emptied it and refilled with new oil right to the line. The same thing happened the very next time.

Works great isn't the best to clean

4

We recieved this as a wedding gift. I wanted a nice Fryer that you could have a lid for. My old one was just a generic that you couldn't cover the top while frying. This fryer is great when it comes to frying. I love the basket that you toss the food in and then lower it down and then the lid shuts so no grease splatters everywhere. It works so great at getting the batter nice and golden brown, and it even has a timer on it incase you forget about it. Super fun to use, and very easy. It does take a lot of oil to fill it up. So I have to buy the big containers of oil to have on hand for when I get the urge to fry. The downfall is it does take a lot of oil, and it is hard to clean. I know if I cook a meat in it, I won't want to use the same grease over and over again. The draining of this fryer is a bit tricky. I should have thought about that before I put it on our registry. I find it isn't the best at getting an easy clean, but with how great it frys I try to overlook the difficult part in cleaning it. I would recommend it to friends and family, because it does a good job at frying.

Wonderful results with an easy-to-use fryer

Oh, how we love this fryer!  Even though I consider myself an accomplished cook, I've never really been comfortable frying foods.  It seems hard to get the temp just right, oil splatters all over, and I always really worry about one of the children coming along and getting splattered. About a year ago, I decided that I really wanted to try my hand at homemade doughnuts.  Commercially available doughnuts are full of so many yucky chemical additives and I was eager to make these treats from scratch.   I did a LOT of homework before I bought this model, and I have never for a moment regretted the purchase.  In fact, after a few weeks my husband bought me a second one!  (We have a very large family and this is a time saver.) I love the fact that the lid closes securely, the basket is easy to raise, and the filter prevents that "cooked oil" smell.  It is VERY easy to use.   Now, about one Sunday a month, my husband and I work together and make a mountain of homemade doughnuts.  We pile the doughnuts on the table and enjoy them with cold milk and fresh fruit for lunch.  We munch on them all afternoon while playing games with the children.  We are making memories and having a great time!   I've used it for a few other foods as well, always with excellent results, but the doughnuts are the real reason we love it.

Great fryer for the money

I enjoy using my deep fryer.  It has a very large frying basket that will fit enough food to feed four to six people- I cannot recall exactly how many quarts of oil that it holds but I believe it is about four.  I also like that the handle is easy to fit in and out of the fryer base.  The heating coil is inside the oil reservoir and detaches from the base.  Then you can remove the oil reservoir for cleaning.  I like this feature very much.  The last fryer I had you were not able to remove the oil reservoir making it very difficult to clean.  This one is very easy to replace the oil and clean the unit.  I also really like the black and stainless steel design.  And it has a detachable cord which makes it safer.  The deep fryer has a timer on it, although I am giving this appliance four stars instead of five because the timer broke after only eight or ten uses.  It is supposed to time from one to sixty minutes.
