Ridgid Gallon Wet/Dry Vac Vacuum

Great for hardwoods, tiles, and wet vac needs.

Yes, the machine is a bit clunky, it is hard to drag around, and is much smaller than most wet/dry vacs out there. With this said, it is also far better. The gallon tank maintains the water temperature better than any other vacuum I have ever used of this caliber, making it excellent when you need hot water. It also features separate reservoirs, so the clean and dirty water do not mix when using. It has a rather large container for soap or detergent of choice when cleaning floors, allowing you to do the entire living room, or any area of the home, without having to continually refill the soap canister. I wish the design was a bit different, and that it wasn't so bulky, but in terms of cleaning quality, in comparison to other wet/dry vacs, you won't find many that are as good as this machine is, and a reasonable price point also makes it an attractive option for those who are shopping for a new wet/dry vacuum for use at home, or in a commercial space.

RIGID WET/DRY VACUUM

5

This is one of the best shop vacuums out there. I have had mine for about 4 years now, and absolutely love it. I got it to be able to vacuum out my car, and also when I need to vacuum water and dirt from my garage and patio. I haven't had any issues with it in the four years I have had it. This shop vac is very powerful and the suction on it is very strong. I love how it is on wheels, so it is very easy to roll around and vacuum up everything. It is pretty bulky, but then again it is a 12 gallon vacuum. Overall, I am very pleased with the price I paid for this product, and how well it has worked. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Maneuverability Very easy to maneuver, especially since it is on wheels. Ease of Maintenance Easy to use and to clean out when finished. Suction Performance Very strong suction. Durability It is very durable as mine has hit about everything possible while pulling it around to vacuum, and has tipped over on it's side, over the curb, when I take it outside to my car to use.

I rely on my Ridgid Wet/Dry Vacuum for a ton of chores around my house, both inside and outside. It is a very nice sized outdoor or "shop" vacuum, easy enough for me to lift and haul around when I am tackling different projects around my yard and home. The features on it are great, it has a nice sized hose that is just long enough to reach where I want it to go, and rarely does it get clogged. I use it along my walkways outside to suck up wet, soggy leaves during the fall or after a storm, and it holds up really well to this task. It sure beats sweeping them up and hauling away by hand! Even if I have a particularly dirty inside job that I do not want to use my regular vacuum for, this comes in handy. It does not blow a bunch of nasty dust around or make too much noise while it is turned on, so I am not against using it in my house. It is also really easy to detach the compartment for cleaning. This is a great indoor or outdoor vacuum to keep in your shop!

Ridgid WD1250 12 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac Vacuum is an absolute necessity if you work in the garage, make home products, get leaks in the basement, or just want to clean your car. My father works in a factory and we had bought this for him because he always comes home and metal chips get everywhere, they are sharp and very hard to clean up. These chips get stuck to the carpet, it is just a mess! When we decided to buy this we where a bit skeptical if i would pull the metal pieces out of the carpet and it did! We have used this so many times besides that, we have cleaned his car getting rid of all the metal pieces in there. We have even vacuumed up water in it after our washer over filled out filler tank. This thing can become a lifesaver, it is a good investment. If you live in an area that gets flooded easily I would keep this on hand! Ease of Maintenance Parts get a little tricky if you don't know what you're doing.

It has very good suction and will pick up leaves and just about anything else that will fit inside the hose. The drawback is, it will also pick up rocks as well. You have to be careful when using near decorative rocks as I found out. Maneuverability This to me is not a strong point of this Vac. Sure it has wheels and you can pull it around in the garage. I do wish the cord was a bit longer and the wheels worked better on a more abrasive surface as it will tip if not on a smooth or not level surface. Ease of Maintenance It's very simple to clean. The hose will sometimes get jammed with debris because it literally sucks everything. It's not hard to dislodge a rock, small branch, clump of leaves etc.The filter is not as easy to clean as I wish. It gets very dusty and is simalar to cleaning a bag-less vacuum cleaner. Suction Performance There is nothing to say but awesome when it comes to the suction on this model. Versatility It's versatile if you have space. Great for garage and vacuuming the car if you have enough room. Also good for smaller leaves around the yard. Design I'm not sure it's a great design but I'm fine with it. It's not meant to roll across grass but i do it anyway. Durability I've had mine for some time and it works great. No complaints.

This is an absolutely amazing machine! The Ridgid Wet/Dry Vacuum is something that my husband keeps out in the garage. It's not really a house vacuum, but it is immensely valuable garage or workplace tool. My husband is a plumber and he carries this to snake jobs for sucking certain things out of drains where the snake is not actually needed. We also use it here at our home. We have a large pool, one of those ones that goes up in the summer and you take it down in the fall. It's quite large and when it's time to empty the pool and put it away for the season, we use this to remove the last of the water that doesn't make it out through the drain hole. We still have to wipe the pool liner part down with towels before folding it up, but this vacuum removes enough water to make wiping it down much easier. We also have a pond water feature in our front garden. When it's time to empty the pond for the winter, we use this vacuum to suck all the water out. It's fantastic. It makes the job so much easier than using a regular water pump! With this vacuum, it's alright if it sucks up leaves and other yard debris that may have fallen into the pond. Suction Performance I have yet to find anything that this vacuum will not suck up!

Great for basements, garages, or shops.

I come from a long line of do-it-yourselfers and a shop vac that can perform under any possible conditions in a definite must have. The Ridig 12 gallon wet/dry vac shop vacuum is the perfect solution to all of your shop/garage/outdoor needs. I have had mine for a couple of years of use/abuse and it is still going strong. It's survived washer leaks sawdust and tons more projects and is still kicking. My husband tends to break things is his "use" of them and he has yet to break this baby. This is a definite up-side for me and has saved me a lot of frustration and strife. The price is reasonable and even a bargain considering how great this thing is and the suction is one of the best that I've found in a shop vac.

Ridgid vet dry vac, great item to use from carpet vac in the house to the floor in the workshop. PLenty of power to get the job done, great add ons too so can go from the dusting up high with the hose extensions to dusting the car vents with the small brush and crevice tool. Easy to roll even when full of water, great to have the drain plug too so don't have to carry and dump it. A bit pricey compared to others but the quality is there and if have the older type of wet vacs and still have the attachments they'll fit so save money there. Also the filter is good, just bang it outside and put it back in, no more bags and filter covers to change. Although buy the upgraded filter that can hose off easier to clean.

My Rigid Wet.Dry Vacuum is Great!

5

We just received this vacuum about a week ago as a Christmas gift and have been using it almost every day. We love it. This vacuum will suck up just about anything in it's way. It is very tough and light weight. The crevice attachment gets into those tight areas that are hard to get to. The wider attachment works great for larger carpeted areas. The Rigid Wet Dry Vacuum fits neatly in a closet under the clothes rack. The casters on the bottom roll very easy on the carpet. You can hardly even tell your moving the entire thing sometimes. Assembly is very simple. I pulled it out of the box, installed the wheels on the bottom by just pushing them on. I pulled out the hose and attachments and pushed them down on the holders on the top of the vacuum. The cord wraps around the top of the vacuum. When you need to use it everything you, all the attachments are right there on the vacuum ready to be used. We love it and I am sure you will to.
