Purchased the Rigid 10 inch Mitter Saw with laser guide for a deck project. It worked just as I expected that it would. Wonderfully. My deck project was a 6 foot by 10 foot deck raised 2 foot off the ground, the Mitter Saw was just the right size. A larger project might have needed a larger Mitter Saw. After I build the deck the Mitter Saw sat around in the shed for about a year before it was used again. I started working on a bathroom renovations project and need to cut a couple of dozen tile. With a easy change of blades, my wood cutting saw became a tile cutting champion. If you too choose to use your Mitter Saw in a similar fashion, before you change the blades cut two piece's of wood to hold the tile. This is a lot safer especially if your wife is watching over your shoulder and faster.  But again changing the blades is easy, that even if she is watching you can do it quickly enough to get it done before she can call your mother to complain.

excellent saw for the price. i looked at a number of saws and this one topped the list in terms of price, portablity and cutting ability. with the lifetime service agreement (it is free, just register w/ rigid) makes this a great all around saw. good stops, locks securely for transport, and has the capabilities for compound miter cuts.
