I purchased this Revlon straightener to replace my seven year old monstrosity. I must say I am very happy with it. I especially love that it heats up in 30 seconds which is fantastic! This is probably my favorite feature. I also like how small the plates are because it allows you to have more control over what you are doing. I have pretty thick normal hair, and I really just use this to straighten the parts of my hair that like to flip out. It really does work great for that. I'm not sure how well it would work on hair that is more difficult to maintain. If you just need a quick flat iron to get rid of a little unwanted curl or flip, this really is the perfect flat iron. The price is great, and it gets the job done fast. Although I have read several negative reviews, I am personally very pleased with this product.
