Great stroller for vacations, but can be confusing

4

I bought a Quinny Zapp last year so we'd have a smaller-but-still-stylish stroller for our trip to Disney. We actually wound up taking the Zapp and our Buzz both, and surprisingly, they were each great for different reasons. The Zapp was SO easy to take on the trams as Disney. It folds up so small that it's easy to store wherever. But, it can be a bit difficult to fold until you get the hang of it. It turns on a dime, and is very easy to push with one hand, even with a 4 yr-old in it. I wish that it (and the Buzz) had a cup holder. We wound up buying some to attach to the stroller, which worked, but when you spend this much for a stroller you'd expect that it would have some luxurys like that. The sun shade was just okay. It would be a lot more useful if it was a little bigger. I wish I reclined. Would make it easier to nap in for small children. My then 4 yr old was riding in it most of the time, and had no trouble falling asleep, but I know my 17 month old, who will be in it next time, is not going to be as comfortable. The rain cover is a FANTASTIC idea. With the random weather Orlando seems to have, it was a huge help. Kudos to Quinny for thinking of that. Overall, I love my Zapp, even though it is lacking in a few areas.

Modern trendy

I got this stroller because my husband loves the look of it. I love how easy it is to change it from stroller to use with infant carseat to regular stroller again. It just zips around and the insert comes out. I love that you can fold it down very very small. It comes with an awesome travel bag you can take on a plane or travel with. The color are vibrant and modern looking. Its really easy to manuver. I do not like that it doesn't recline and I dont like that the weight limit is low. My 3 year old is 55lbs and the limit is 50 I believe. Its an okay stroller for the price I suggest another that reclines. However if your looking for lightweight and compact this is a good purchase for you.

Great for the mom on the go.

I love this stroller. It comes with a carrying case with a strap and a rain cover. It is easy to snap your little one in. But if you need to adjust the straps, it is not that easy. I do love how compact it is. It collapses to something about the size of a small carry-on. It maneuvers great. Its short profile is great at getting in and out of tight doorways and while shopping. It is easy to set up and put down. When it rains, water just rolls right off and its easy to clean. It just unzips for laundering.  I have yet to use the rain cover, but it has vents and easily just slides over the whole stroller.  If you are going to need a large basket underneath, this is not the stroller for you. The basket is tiny and difficult to put things in and out of. This won't be such a bad point, except you can not really hang anything from the handles or the whole thing will tip back. The center of balance is very touchy. I just find it easiest to unsnap the basket and slide my purse in and out. The wide wheels goves over bumps quite nicely, but stick out the sides a bit. If you walk to close to a wall you can get caught up on the rubber wheels. Also I wish it had a cup holder. I find myself resting my water bottle on the sun shade, but it tends to pull it back therefore not covering my son from the sun.  All in all it has treated us quite nicely and has travelled quite nicely.

Meh on wheels.

I so badly wanted to love this stroller. It's sleek and stylish, and I thought it would be the perfect choice once I moved out of my larger umbrella stroller (a Peg Perego Pliko P3). I wanted something that I could zip around the mall or take on a plane that didn't weigh much and was easy to fold. Granted, the Quinny Zapp has those elements, but it's also hard to steer, noisy as can be, and much flimsier than other strollers. I was surprised at just how loud it is when pushing it. The wheels sound like they need to be greased -- and it wasn't just mine; I have a friend with the same stroller (in a different color) whose does the exact same thing! I also don't like how narrow the Zapp is; it fit my son fine at nearly a year, but I doubt he'd be comfortable once he's a bit bigger. I returned the Zapp and got a Maclaren, which I really like. One thing I did like about the Zapp is that it's unique looking and the color makes it easy to pick out in a crowd. But when color is the best element, you know it's not a great product.

Most compact stroller on the market

5

My husband and I were already owners of the Quinny Buzz 3 when we purchased the Zapp.  We fell in love with our Buzz but decided we wanted to have a more lightweight, compact stroller for our travels.  The Zapp has been perfect for those occasions!  It comes with a travel bag that is ideal for air travel and it is amazing how compact the stroller does get when you pack it up.  It has saved us so much space on long car drives to Florida.  It unfolds pretty easily (though not nearly as easy as the Buzz), and it seems quite comfortable for our son.  I've seen other reviewers say that it's too lightweight and you can't hang a diaper bag on the handles without the stroller tipping, and it is probably true that could happen, but technically, you're not supposed to be hanging bags off of any stroller, so I don't really see this as a negative.  It can be a bit tricky to get the hang of folding and unfolding the stroller, but once you're used to it, it's a very simple process.  Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good traveling stroller!

I LOVE my Quinny!

I got my Quinny three days ago. I have already got my moneys worth out of it! It is the best stroller I have ever had. It folds up TINY for a stroller, and it's super easy to maneuver! A word of warning, do not hang your diaper bag off the handles. But, other than that I love it! Well worth the money! I do wish it came with a cup/bottle holder though.

An ok compact stroller

I purchased our quinny zapp eight months ago.. I was looking for a super small and compact stroller that I could keep in the trunk of my car at all times without taking up too much space.  The quinny zapp definitely fits that description to a tee... It folds up very small, taking up very little space... However it's quite heavy, and although it comes with a nice carrying bag that has a handle, it's terribly difficult to get into the carrying bag.. it took me literally 20 minutes of fussing with it before I said "to heck with it" and now keep it without the bag in my trunk.  This stroller once unfolded does provide a nice smooth ride with easy steering, however it does not recline at all, which I found to be a pain once my little one decides to fall asleep.. This stroller also lacks any cupholders for the parent or the child. I also found out the hard way that it can easily be tipped over by a child trying to stand in it. In the end I think there are better compact strollers out there for cheaper.. I wish I would of shopped around a bit more.

Great light weight stroller!

4

We've had our Zapp for almost a year and love it!  We have four children in carseats so even in a Chevy Tahoe, it's hard to find a place for a stroller.  This is the only non-umbrella stroller I could find that fit in the back of my car with the third row up.  It's super light, folds easily and great on most surfaces.  It does tilt backwards if too much weight compared to the load of the child is added to the back.  However if you keep in mind this is a light weight stroller and not a heavy duty stroller you should be fine.  I have found the undercarrage bag hard to get some things in and out of, but then again it's more than most strollers this size have.  I also discovered I can buy add on cup holder and I believe  I saw a tray that would make this great for someone who feels it's lacking in those areas.  Over all though, I'm extremely happy with this stroller and I'm really glad we bought it.

Great for older baby

4

I love love love my Quinny Zapp. I got it about 6 months ago when my son was around age one. Before that I mainly used a Maclaren, which I love but after 6 yrs is getting a little beat up! The zapp is so sleek and trendy. Most days when out people comment on the stroller and how great it looks. I love the brakes as I have two older kids and often have to put the brakes on super quickly for quick stops here and there. Literally all you do is press one red triangle large button/brake with one foot and brake is on! Then press the other gray triangle with your other foot and brake is off. So easy compared to many strollers that I have had. It steers really smoothly and in every direction. My only complaint would be that it doesn't recline so that's why I say for older babies. We still bring out the Maclaren if we are on a longer outing so my son can nap more comfortably. It does fold down so teeny, which is great for my crowded minivan! Takes a while to get the hang of the folding, but overall simple enough.

There are many other better strollers out there

I have had the Quinny Zapp after a few people have told me how great it is. Well, I must admit I really do NOT like this stroller for a couple of reasons. First of all, it is extremely unstable. While my daughter was in the stroller, it fell backwards towards me. I had a light bag on the back and it just fell over backwards--numerous times. Fortunately, the stroller is like a shell and it protected her. (My daughter was about 20 pounds.) There is also no storage on this stroller- DO NOT hang anything on the handles or else it will fall over. Folding it up is so difficult. I never got used to it and had a difficult time EVERY time I folded it up. Often times, I just threw it in my trunk without even folding it up all of the way. My friend had received three strollers for her baby shower and I ended up paying her for her Maclaren stroller because I was so fed up with my Quinny. I absolutley love my Maclaren and would recommend that stroller over the Quinny any day.
