I own several Pyrex mixing bowls and storage sets; when I see the individual bowls on sale I snag them because they can be used for so many things. This is a four cup bowl so it is perfect for making gelatin based desserts but you can use it for just about anything. It is a little on the large side for making a pot pie unless you want something that the whole family can dig in to. Because there is a lid you can use this to make a salad or dessert to take to a party but the size of it does restrict what you can make in it or store inside it. So far the glass has resisted scratching but I usually try to use plastic or silicone kitchen tools when working with this and other Pyrex pieces. It is freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe but when transferring from the freezer to the oven please all it at least two hours for the contents to partially thaw.

I have three of the 4-Cup Pyrex Storage round dishes and I love them. I have had these for years and they have come in handy for so many different things. These are very sturdy and strong glass bowls and they will last you for a long time. I like the lid that goes on top of this. It's a rubbery kind of lid and it seals really well. It seems to suction on and stay on. These glass bowls are dishwasher safe and can even be put in the microwave as long as you lift the lid a little bit. These bowls fit quite a bit into them. I like to cut up fruits and vegetables and stack the containers of them in the fridge. It makes it easy to get to and makes me eat more of the healthy stuff. I will continue to buy these and other pyrex dishes in the future. Actually I just bought some new rectangle ones the other day and I'm excited to use them. This hold up really well and stack well. I think everyone needs some pyrex dishes in their house. They are great!

I own four of these Pyrex storage 4 cup round dishes with the blue plastic lid covers and I love them! They are very versatile, I use them for storing leftovers in the fridge as well as heating leftovers in the oven and microwave. I also use them when serving food when we have guests over because without the lids they look really elegant. It also helps to serve in these dishes because you just pop the lid on after and put the leftovers in the fridge! The lid stays on tightly and keeps my leftovers fresh. They are the perfect size for storing a lot of different kinds of foods. These dishes are very durable, I use them often and the lids do not get bent out of shape like with other dishes I have used. These are very easy to clean and they are dishwasher safe which is great because I'm allergic to washing dishes. Overall I would highly recommend these Pyrex dishes! I hope to expand my collection in the future and invest in some larger Pyrex dishes as well.

I am very nervous about freezing and reheating my leftovers in plastic containers. I found these Pyrex Storage 4-Cup Round Dishes on sale and purchase several sets of them. I do a lot of cooking ahead and make freezer meals to take when I pack my lunch. These pyrex dishes are amazing! First, there is plenty of room in each pyrex dish. I can easily fit a single lunch portion or a double dinner portion in the dish and still have room to comfortably snap on the lid. Second, these dishes freeze really well. The pyrex glass is sturdy and these dishes can be stacked to maximize freezer storage. Finally, I can go right from the freezer to heating the dish in the microwave without worrying that the glass with crack with the temperature change. The glass heats slowly and evenly and the food warms up nicely. The only recommendation I have is to wash the plastic lids by hand. This will prevent them from warping in the dishwasher.

The Pyrex Storage 4-Cup Round Dish with Dark Blue Plastic Cover is a great container to use when you have leftovers or you are looking to pack a lunch. The container itself is glass, so you have to be a little careful when you are handling this container. The lid is made of plastic so it is easy to put on the container and remove from the container. This dish is really convenient because it is clear so you don't have to wonder what is stored in it when you look in your refrigerator. It's also nice that you can put this dish directly from the refrigerator to the microwave or oven. This dish is really easy to wash, and I put it directly in the dishwasher. I never had any problems with it chipping or having the plastic lid melt when I put it in the top shelf of the dishwasher. These are easy to find at any grocery store or local hardware store. They are reasonably priced, so I have a few in each of the different sizes.

The Pyrex 4-cup round dish is my go-to storage solution. In my opinion, a storage container is only as good as its lid, and this bowl features a durable, tight-fitting lid that keeps flavor in and air out. I think this is the most helpful size for storing leftovers, and as such, I have several of this particular size in my collection. It's great for keeping the remains of a can of soup fresh, and it's handy to be able to pop it in the microwave and have the peace of mind that you're not "nuking" a plastic container. In general, I'm trying to avoid using plastic, and especially when it comes to products that are going to be used in the microwave or freezer. I frequently bring this container with me to work as a way to easily carry leftovers for lunch, and I even use it as a cat food container when I'm traveling with my cat. It holds enough cat food for a trip lasting a couple of days. Pyrex also has great customer service. When I bought a set with a lid that was cracked, I simply called them and they mailed out a replacement lid immediately, with no questions asked.

Pyrex is the ultimate in food storage. Really, they're awesome! I've had Pyrex baking dishes and measuring cups for ages but never made the jump to their food storage until recently. As with all Pyrex products, the glass is heavy duty and feel sturdy but isn't heavy to carry and use. The 4 cup size is perfect for so many applications. I love to use it for pasta the most as it does not stain at all when you have pasta sauce in it. It's great for anything that has tomatoes (that would stain plastic) or onions (that would leave a lingering smell on the plastic). I also love that you can put hot items right into them with no worry. Hot soup or stew, pasta with sauce, anything can be in the pot boiling moments before you put it in the bowl and there are no problems whatsoever. The covers fit tightly and the containers are easy to stack in the fridge. The do take up a bit more room in storage than plastic containers do, but their quality and versatility makes up for that. I definitely recommend these!

I purchased 4 of these from the store because I wanted my husband to be able to re-heat his lunch at work in a slightly more classy container than your average (plastic) Tupperware bowl. These are great for this purpose. You can pop hot food in them immediately and they don't crack. Once the leftovers are cooled down I sometimes place them in the freezer for another day, when I need them I just take them out, let them defrost and then microwave them back up to a safe temperature. I also have cooked pies with pastry right in them, in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes and they do not break. The only problem I ever encountered (which was really my fault) was that I popped a pie into the oven to reheat when it hadn't totally defrosted and the extreme change in temperature cracked the bowl. I think also if you continue to microwave the lid over and over again it can become warped, so I usually use a paper plate or Bounty towel so that the lids remain in good condition. For the record, my mum still has the same Pyrex bowls in her kitchen cupboards that she had when I was growing up!

I have had this Pyrex Storage 4 Cup Round Dish for over 9 years and we still use it all the time! I love this dish. It's great for saving small amounts of leftovers, stacks well, or makes a great to-go lunch container. We try not to use a lot of plastic containers which is another reason I love this dish. It has a lid that fits snug, although beware if you put liquids in it may leak out a little. The dish is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. It's a simple design but would be a great serving dish as well. I think the size is great. It's small but perfect for small amounts of food or a dip of some sort. It's durable enough to mix something in, although hand beaters wouldn't fit in the bowl well to mix. The lid is flat with only a little lip on it and this is great because it's easier to stack than other containers with rounded lids, so it helps making fridge organization even easier. I love that this Pyrex 4-cup round dish is simple, quality and versatile.

I received my Pyrex Storage 4-Cup Round Dish in a bigger Pyrex set for Christmas. All of the storage dishes in the set are great, but this one in particular is the one that I find myself using the most often. This size is perfect for leftovers. So much so that it is very rarely in the cabinet, but always being used to store something in the refrigerator. It is so handy that I am collecting a few more of just this 4-cup size. It is my go-to dish for leftovers. The dish itself is wonderful. It is made of really thick, high quality glass that makes it quite sturdy and break-resistant. The glass is nice because you don't have to worry about plastic leaching chemicals into your foods. Pyrex glass storage dishes are also very versatile. I love that this can go in the refrigerator, freezer, oven, and microwave. You do have to be careful not to put hot foods in it and then put it right into the freezer, or to put it directly from the fridge to the oven, because it will break the glass. The plastic lid seals really well to prevent leakage. I love this Pyrex dish!
