This stuff stinks, tracks all over the place and does not absorb well. I normally use pine pellets and there is no comparison.

My husband and I recently decided that it was in our best interest to move across the country. We decided to do this by car, with our 3 cats in tow. We knew the whole process was going to stink, so we wanted to make sure that at least part of our trip wouldn't. So, before we left, we made a run to our local Walmart. Browsing the cat litter section, we came across Maxx Scoop Small Spaces, and decided it was our best chance, since our 2006 Chevy HHR certainly fit the description of a "small space". We bought a bucket and set out. 3 hotels, 6 days, and more than a few naps in the car with a random cat sleeping on our heads, we made it from Ontario to BC. We saw beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the glory that is the Canadian Shield, the beauty of the prairies, the majesty of the Rockies, and the sweet sign of us reaching our destination town, and not once did we smell ammonia. Okay, sure we smelt other odors (our one cat can be pretty smelly), but there's nothing that the litter can do about that when it's fresh. The cats seemed to enjoy it, and actually got pretty good with eating, drinking and "going" while we were on the move. Even if we're not in as small of a space (but really, a small room is bigger than a car lol), we continue to use Small Spaces, since we don't want to smell litter smell everywhere. Moisture Absorption Clumping litter, but it's not perfect since it sticks to all the other litter around it, making the clumps massive. Ease of Cleaning After one day with 3 cats, you just have to turn the litter box upside down and it all comes out in one big clump. Odor Control Couldn't smell litter at all in the car throughout the entire trip. Ease of Use Open box, fill litter box, wait for cats to go, upend litter box and dump.

We adopted our two year old cat a couple of months ago,an d had no idea what litter to use. It seemed everyone had a different opinion, but this was the litter that was mentioned the most, and now we know why. We use the lightly scented version of this, and we, and our cat, love it. It has excellent odour control, and the scent of the litter is so light itself that you don't even notice there is a litter box in the room at all. It clumps really we'll, and is easy to scoop, which is perfect because we scoop often throughout the day. The other thing that we absolutely love about this litter is the fact that it is 99% dust free! and it truly lives up to that claim. Even when our cat is digging in the box, or when I dump the litter in the box after cleaning it all out, there is no dust. This was important to us, as we didn't want a mess, and didn't want our cat breathing all of that in! Another excellent thing about this litter is that it is reasonably priced, goes on sale often, and usually has coupons readily available for it. Also, you can get it almost anywhere, not just at a specialty store. And, probably the most important aspect of all, our cat loves it! I highly recommend this litter, it is great quality for an economical price. Moisture Absorption Clumps easily and right away, making scooping easy. Ease of Cleaning Easy to scoop, no dust when you pour, so no mess at all. Odor Control Excellent odour control, you don't even know that there is a litter box in the room. Scent is light and pleasant, not overpowering. Ease of Use Comes on an easy to carry and use tub.

i love animals ,though small dogs and cats are most favororite.i like to try out new products for my pets .i own 2 shi tzu and one kitten must say the purina maxx scoop is the best cat litter i have tried .

I think this a great find, I love using Purina Maxx Kitty Litter, it works great, and there is no smell at all, the smell gets absorbed into the little granuals and it goes into this clump and makes cleaning up is so easy, and I found that there is not dust, I love that, thanks for such great product.

I've had my present cat for 16yrs now. So I've tried my share of cat litters. I've probably tried every brand I can see in the grocery store and in the pet stores. Some of them are absolutely terrible. Scent wise too. Some not clumping all making a huge mess at the bottom of the litter box. I've even tried to use the environmentally friendly ones. As much as they are good for the environment most are terrible to even clump the urine from the cat. Over the years, I've often bought the cheaper kind as sometimes I couldn't afford to buy the more expensive one. And as great the cheaper ones can smell they are sooo dusty. I've often chocked on the dust when pouring the fresh litter in the box. Can you imagine how the cat must feel and what they get in their lungs. Also I put the litter box in a little storage area where I also put linen on one side and miscellaneous stuff. The bad part of those dusty cat litters is that it made EVERYTHING dusty having the clean the area so often. The purina maxx scoop is, according to the box, 99% dust free. They stay true to the fact. Barely and dust at all. And it smells great not to mention clumps really well. Now I'd rather spend the money on this cat litter. It's worth every penny.

I gotta preface this by saying that I pretty much love most purina products, but I have mixed feelings about this one.  I bought two tubs of the exact same type, scent everything at the same time and have had two different results. They're even two different colors, what's up with that? The first tub I opened I was satisified with. I still preferred my worlds best litter but I couldn't afford it at the time so I bought this instead. When I opened the second tub to dump that remainder of the first into it, they were two different colors. As I started using the second tub, I noticed that the pee was being absorbed and staying together much better than with the first tub. I hadn't done anything different and her diet hadn't changed at all. I also liked that it really was mostly dustless for a clay type clumping cat litter. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lot of good litter whithout breaking the bank.

One of my fav litters to use for my cats. I get the clumping kind..always much more helpfull to have when you wanna change your litter. Maxx Scoop is def one of my top picks for litter plus obsorbs smell, not many do that! Can't go wrong with it. :D
