My Dogs have Slimmed Down

5

I used to always just fill up a big bowl and they could eat whenever they wanted, then they ended up over weight, guess I should have saw that coming. I then started using the recommended feeding amounts and feeding them in different rooms and they both slimmed down to their ideal weight in about 2 months time. This has saved me quite a bit of cash since they are eating less, and also causes me to have a lot less waste to clean up in the backyard, so win win. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dog that is over weight and it quite easy to find coupons in the paper or to print online to save even more money on the purchase price. Quality of Ingredients Wish that it was a little more natural as far as ingredients go. We are not in a position to be able to afford the more expensive all natural brands so this does the trick. Switched to this one from the regular Dog Chow with no issues. Flavor Selection My dogs both really like the food I guess, I mean they eat all when I give it to them.

Good Food Good Price

My dog really enjoys this brand and selection of food. We originally had him on Purina Dog Chow but after his last visit with the veterinarian we found out he needed to lose a little weight. So we started making sure he was getting more exercise and switched his food to the Fit and Trim option offered by Purina. The price increase from what we were feeding him to the Fit and Trim was so minimal that it had no impact on our decision. Over a couple months we really noticed a difference. Ranger had lost twenty pounds and and really seemed healthier. His coat has always had a very healthy shine to it and this food was no different, his coat still has a healthy shine to it. It is offered in three sized bags that I know of and offered in most places. A 4.4 pound bag, 15.5 pound bag and 32 pound bag. I can not comment on taste, but if my two year old could really talk she could give you an opinion on that, but the bag does seem to have more variation when compared to the regular Dog Chow. The Fit and Trim has more variety in the pieces of the bag. Flavor Selection There is only one option.

I am the proud owner of a puggle. I recently adopted her, when I got her she weighed 44 pounds using this dog food she has lost approx 10 pounds in three months. She loves the taste. If you want your dog to lose weight I highly recommend this product.

I have been feeding Purina Fit and Trim to my 2 Australian Cattle Dogs for a few weeks now.  They have both lost weight which they needed to do.  I had no trouble switching them over to a new food.  They both like the taste and I like the affordable price. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidents.  I would highly recommend this dog food to other that have overweight dogs.

Fit and Trim Works

We are the proud owners of a 100lb Lab/Golden Retriever Mix. He's eight years old and has had weight problems for the last five years. He has low thyroid which causes his weight to fluctuate, especially when he does not get his medicine twice a day like he's supposed to (oops!). Our veterinarian suggested this dog food as an alternative to the higher priced dog foods we were feeding him. I am so glad she did! Not only is Fit and Trim saving us money, it has helped him to lose weight. We let eat a little more than recommnded during the winter since he is outside but as soon as spring hits, we go back to giving him a little less food and he slims right down. The food must taste good because he eats it, unlike other food we have tried to give him for weight loss. I like the ingredients of this food as well. They are of much higher quality than a lot of the foods out there. Purina Fit and Trim will be our dogs food forever!

Fit & Trim keeps my dogs fit and trim!!!

We have two large dogs, one 11-yr-old very large Golden Retriever and a 2-yr-old German Shepherd - the Golden has always had a weight problem - he is large-boned and lazy - good weight is 95-100 lbs!  Shepherd no problem - she is very active - holds her weight at 60-65 lbs.  For years I have made a home-made dog food mix to add in with dry dog food....the mix contains meats, bones (cooked until they dissolve), carrots, green beans and rice, all cooked of course.   We fed the dogs equal amounts of dry and home-made food.  Our vet advised against this, telling me that 1 cup of dry food equals 4 cups of my home-made food - in fact we were over-feeding both dogs.  After many false starts, we have settled  on Fit & Trim - why?  Good ingredients, less calories, etc.  Reasonable cost!   We give the Golden a very small amount of dry food, and at least 1 cup of the wet food...his weight is now where it should be - the Shepherd is holding her weight well, and can be fed more, as she burns the food off rapidly.  I trust Prurina products completely - the Fit and Trim is doing its job, and we have two happy and healthy dogs!!!  THANKS PURINA!!!

If I were a Dog, I'd eat it!

Purina Fit and Trim is a great quality product. I have a very picky Beagle. Since this breed is prone to obesity, I started feeding my Beagle Fit and Trim once he became an adult dog. (about 18 months) My dog eats Fit and Trim without coaxing. Prior to my using Fit and Trim, I tried several name brand "designer" dog foods that were healthy, not to mention expensive, and my dog wouldn't touch them. Because Fit and Trim is made in the U.S. by a company known and trusted for generations, I will continue to be loyal to Purina. If you have a "chubby" dog, you should give it a try.
