I started using the Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder to help whiten my laundry. The first load that I washed and dried looked a lot whiter. Well one day I was cleaning my house and noticed that I had a few stains on my carpet. I went and vacuumed the carpet and then got my carpet cleaner out and started to clean the carpets. Well I ran out of the carpet cleaner soap and I did not have time to run to the store and buy some more since I had people coming over to my house in just a few hours. I looked around to see if I had anything to use to put into my carpet cleaner well all I could find was the Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder so I put some of it in a cup and mixed water with it and put it into my carpet cleaner and tried it out in a spot that no one would ever see well to my surprise my carpet looked so clean that I went ahead and did the rest of the carpet. Once I was done cleaning and the carpet was dry I looked at it and I could tell that were I used the Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder and the regular carpet cleaner. The area that was cleaned with the Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder was cleaner and looked almost like new. I have tan carpet and it is very hard to keep clean since it shows every little bit of dirt plus I have four dogs that tend to bring in dirt and mud when it rains. I now only use the Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder on my carpets and I always put it in with my laundry to make everything looking clean. I would recommend this to any person that would like there cloths looking clean and bright and if you dare to try it on your carpet then you will see that it will make them look very clean but if you do try it on the carpets please make sure to try it some where safe just in case it doesn't damage your carpet or the color of it.

Ok. I'll admit it. I am a laundry snob. I try to stick with certain products and tend to only deviate from that when I'm travelling or something like that. I like to try new things, but never expect them to be as good as my "usual" product. I bought this while I was out of town visiting a relative. The only store nearby was a small discount store that didn't have much of a selection. This appeared to be the "best" color safe bleach option that they had, but I wasn't expecting much. I was shocked when I washed clothes and found that this seemed to do a better job than my usual product! I wondered if it might have something to do with the soft water in the area that I was visiting, but I found that I like it just as much as I did that first use once I started using it here at home with our hard water. The clothes look brighter, I haven't been able to detect any fading in my brightly colored items, and it has a very light and pleasant scent. I do find that it works best if I let it disolve completely before I add any clothes to the washer, but that's the case with most powdered laundry products. Overall I am impressed and have now switched to using Purex 2 Color Safe Bleach Powder in place of my "usual" product and would recommend it to anyone needing this sort of thing.
