Now, I love a good tuna casserole with canned tuna, potato chips, and mushroom soup, but you need to shop around and experiment before you can find just the right brands of the ingredients! For me, besides Chicken of the Sea tuna and Utz potato chips, Progresso's Cream of Mushroom comes through on creaminess, thickness, and the taste of mushroom with mushroom BITS to make the best casserole base you'll find! I love it--it's just complimented by the subtle fishy taste of the tuna and the salty baked potato chips!

Generally I prefer to eat soup as a side, or a precurser to a meal. Progresso soups univerally feel more like meals; this mushroom soup is no exception. It is full of mushrooms and is creamy. It's a little bit too much for me, based on my soup eating preference, but if you like eating soup as a meal, it's pretty good. Note - I find it difficult to find in stores, so if you do find you like it, I'd recommend stocking up when you find it.

The cream of mushroom is not my favorite of the Progresso soups, but it is pretty good. The spicy ones...sausage and chicken gumbo and the mexican soups are so good that I always keep at least 3 or 4 cans of them on hand. The tomato basil and hearty tomato are really good, too. When they're on sale, they are an outstanding bargain.

This soup has a definite mushroom flavor. I enjoy it alone and use it in various recipes. I certainly prefer it over other "recipe soups." It has a more adult flavor. The amount of real mushroom pieces is great and the thickness of the soup is as close to homemade as one can get. This is a great soup!!

I have enjoyed Progresso soups since my first pregnancy when I could only keep a few foods down.  I have always been a fan of cream-based soups and cream of mushroom was my favorite growing up.  I used to enjoy Campbells until I tried Progresso's--wow!  Progresso's Cream of Mushroom soup is rich with a smooth texture and both a filling and indulgent taste.  There is no bad aftertaste and the chuncks of muchrooms are the highlight of the soup.  The mushroom pieces are large and hearty--more than enough to satisfy any mushroom lover!

I have always been a fan of cream of mushroom soup. I would always buy the Campbells brand, but it didn't have nearly enough mushrooms, so I would buy a can of mushrooms to add.I was at the grocery store recently and noticed a sale of Progresso soup. I decided to grab a few cans to have on hand for quick and easy meals. I saw they had a cream of mushroom soup. It claimed to have big chunks of portabello mushrooms, and a few other varietys. I was pretty skeptical. It was awesome! It really did live up to the claim. The flavor is really good, and I couldn't believe how chocked full it was of mushrooms. There are a ton!I would highly recommend this soup, and it is totally worth the price because I don't have to buy an extra can of mushrooms to add to it.
