One of the best treadmills I've ever owned!

5

I go the gym three times per week, but I wanted to have a treadmill that I could use at home as well. I asked one of the physical trainers at my gym if she had any recommendations, and she advised me to purchase this one. This treadmill is affordable and reliable. I've had it for over a year now, and I use it almost every single day. Performance The performance of the ProForm XP 580 treadmill is extraordinary. There are so many built-in workouts to do which I love. You can also select your own speed and/or incline if you choose to. This treadmill shifts smoothly and with ease to the different speeds and inclines. Comfort The handles are very comfortable to hold on to. I always have a comfortable walk or run on it. Ease of Use This machine is very straightforward and easy to use. The level indicator and start button are pretty much all you need to know how to use. Durability Like I previously stated, I use this machine almost every day, and it is still in great shape. Design I love the design of this machine. However it is on the larger side.

I love this treadmill

After I gave birth to my second child, I really wanted to get back in to shape, but I did not have the time to join a gym. I also wanted to spend as much time as possible with my children and wanted to be away from home as little as possible. I decided to purchase the ProForm XP 580 Treadmill. I use this treadmill almost every day. It is exactly what I was looking for in a treadmill. My favorite feature of the ProForm XP 580 Treadmill is the incline control. I love being able simulate walking outside and on uneven terrain with just the touch of a button. I have found that this feature really helps me maximize my workout and has helped me build up the strength in my legs. Overall, I highly recommend the ProForm XP 580 Treadmill. It is a great, reliable way to exercise at home and the price is very affordable. This is a well built piece of exercise equipment and I anticipate I will use it for a long period of time.

Simple looking with effective results

As far as treadmills go, how different can they really be? Well I am fully satisfied with this treadmill purchase, from the price to the look and quality of it. It is simple looking and simple functioning, which is perfect for my older parents who like to walk on it indoors in the icy winter weather. It fits in a perfect space in my living room, near a window and tv for walker's enjoyment. This treadmill does not use a ton of energy and my electric bill has not gone up significantly because of it. The cord is long and allows it to be plugged into an outlet a good distance away. Performance It runs smoothly and with less noise than I have heard treadmills at friends' houses or gyms. Comfort It is soft on your feet, allowing fluid steps and flowing motion for a comfortable experience. Ease of Use It is easy to use with simple controls, and easy to wipe down (the hand grips) when you are finished. Durability I have had it for the past year now and it has not changed function wise or speed wise. Design It is a simple design, but still attractive and looks good in my living room setting.

Pro Form Treadmill

5

I purchased this Pro Form Treadmill a few months ago to try to lose some baby weight. I thought that I might have better luck working out if I could do it from home instead of having to go to the gym. I was looking for a treadmill that would fold up, so that I could save some space in the room, too. This treadmill worked out well. I was able to work out daily, if even just for a few minutes while the baby slept. The treadmill itself works well. I haven't had any problems with it breaking or not working. It gives a nice smooth walk/run. I would recommend this treadmill to anyone looking for one without a lot of frills. Oh, and baby likes to walk on it, too, in a sling :-)

I have had my treadmill for over 5 years. It still works great to this day and I use it occasionally. I have not needed to do any maintenance on it and love to use the treadmill during my exercise routines. Have never had any problems with it at all and I intend to use it until it gives up on me.

I love the Proform 580 LT

5

The motor burnt out on my old tredmill so I went shopping for a new one.  What I found was the Proform 580 LT.  What caught my attention was the fact that it had an IPod docking station and speakers, the cord to plug my Ipod in was included with it.  It also has four preprogrammed calorie burning workouts and 12 classic workouts to choose from.  I can set a personalized workout by entering my weight, age, and calorie goals and it keeps track of my progress.  It has preset speed buttons for easy setting of miles and a up down arrow to increase/decrease speed by 1/10th of a mile.  It also comes with an easy touch button for incline.  I can check my pulse just by placing my palms on the sensor while I'm walking.  It has two hand rails and a magnetic safety key.  It folds up for easy storage and is on wheels for easier moving.  The only downside is that it's a little heavy to move.  Other than that, I love it.

Reliable Product, Work As Advertised

I'm an avid exerciser, certified personal trainer (NASM), and have used/own several exercise equipment. Due to the size of our living quarters, we were on the market for a cardio machine (primarily treadmill) that folds up in order to better utilize the available space in our home. Unfortunately, all the 'fold-up' treadmill we found were all limited to a top speed of 10MPH.  While this would not be a major deterant for most people, I like to do 'interval training' some times and have topped speeds (at the gym) of up to 13 MPH.  However, I understand most people would not actively run at 10MPH so it's understandable.  Besides, I doubt anything 10MPH would be safe on a fold-up treadmill. I have not used the playlist function on the treadmill since I usually make my own workout and use my own iPod playlist, so I cannot comment on that.  The 25 years warranty is a major plus because many treadmill-owners I know tend to have an issue with the belt down the road.  This treadmill does as advertised so far, no issues...everything works fine (incline, speed, programs). I use this product in conjuction with some other items I own, primarily a boxing stand w/speed bag, free weights, and a Bowflex.  I'm pretty small (at least this is what people tell me) at 5'7 and 155-160lbs, so I'm mainly trying to cut (lose bodyfat and build lean muscle mass).  I work out about 3-5 times a week for about 60 minutes on average and I've been pretty successfully at maintaining my weight.

The Pro-Form XP 580 is Great

5

I bought this treadmill to replace an older model I had of Pro-Form. Within the first few months of this purhcase, there had to be a few repairs done. There were some problems with the height positioning. After a few adjustments it was working normally. The set up was pretty easy to do and it took about an hour. The machine is really powerful and the treadmill in general is really heavy, so I would suggest putting it in your basement or the lowest level in your house. The Iphone speakers aren't the best and you would probably be better off with headphones. The treadmill is very easy to operate and can hold 200+ pounds. It is very quiet which is nice when someone is sleeping while you are working out nearby. The touch screen worked fine for me when I used it, you just have to make sure if you have liquids nearby not to spill it on the screen. It is a great investment and is definietely worth the price.

I lost 40 lbs in 8 months using the Pro-Form XP Trainer 580

The machine is easy o use and gives the user an option of many different settings so that the user can use the setting that best suits them. There are options for fat burning, aroebics,  proformance as well as endurance. I got the machine because I was diagnosed with diabetes and my doctor suggested exercise because I an not big on exercise I chose the treadmill thinking that it was the easiest way to get my exercise. I do not know whether is was the easiest way buy it was not easy. The Pro-Form xp Trainer 580 challenged me without discouraging me and the speaker system allowed me to connect my mp3 player which helped to take my mind off of the exercise as well as give a little motivation. In eight months I have lost forty pounds by just exercising an half an hour four days a week. I even find if not enjoyment a appreciation for exercise. I would recomend this machine to anyone who is interested in becoming heathier.
