This is an amazing treadmill

I was looking for a new treadmill and decided to buy this machine. I workout at home on the treadmill at least five times a week, so durability is very important to me. I have owed different models of the Pro-Form brand and have been very pleased. I liked this machine because of all of the different workout features that it offered. I have owned this treadmill for three months and I have been very pleased with it, it has been my favorite so far. It is much quieter than my old treadmill, and is very durable. It does not shake when running, and even if it is set on an incline. My favorite feature is the different cross training exercises that it offers. I love to be able to chose the workout program that I want for that day and it can be something new and challenging. Ease of Use This treadmill is very easy to use and the functions are very user friendly. Durability This product has been very durable for me, it is very sturdy and comfortable when running.

excellent product for price

This product actually has a lot of features... which surprised me considering it is not overly expensive for a treadmill. My favorite feature is the incline. I also use the fold-up feature too.... gives me more floor space. I think it one of the best for beginners due to both the price and the ease of use. However, if a beginner really got into running/walking, there are some features that allow it to "grow with you". There is an option that allows you to connect your Ipod to the treadmill. My sister uses a program called Couch to 5K which has you jog for a certain period of time and then walk and then run again, etc. This coordinates well with the MPH setting on the treadmill. When it's time to walk again, just adjust to a slower pace. One aspect that is really cool (but, honestly, I have not used it extensively yet) is that you can search and pick well-known trails and that treadmill will incline or decline with the actual trail! Helps you feel more like you are walking outdoors!!

Great for walking

5

I truly enjoy using this treadmill.  Whenever the weather is not ideal for me.  I find that walking is a great  way to clear my mind and keep fit.  Sometimes of course I feel like a hamster in a cage going nowhere.  But the end results are great.  I am not a runner so I cannot comment on that.  But I can walk for hours.  I walk backwards too.  They claim it's good for your eyesight and other things.  I sometimes will set goals and try to beat my previous time for achieving a mile.  This treadmill is great for people who like to walk and read at the same time.  I do not have to worry about cracks in the sidewalk or insects flying around.  Just total peace of mind.   I feel like I am accomplishing so much too. Sitting down and reading is so old fashion.  My husband loves running on the treadmill pounding away.  I like to walk for distance and not speed.  It helps keep off the pounds of fat.  I used to speed walk for the first mile then cool down and walk a medium pace  for the rest.  Then my hips would feel tired and sometimes my knees.  So now I am back to my slow pace again.   Why feel exhausted when I am done.  I saw the same results anyway.  I listened to my husband and tried it.  But for me my way is best slow and steady.

Solid, well-built treadmill

4

Bought this treadmill new and used it off-and-on for about three years. It's a good, solid machine. Slow start is nice, not too loud, ipad port is cool, controls are intuitive. Built-in cooling fans could be better. It does fold, and it's fairly easy to roll when folded. Don't try and lift it up. VERY heavy. Took six people to move it up our stairs. Personal opinion: Don't buy a treadmill new. They absolutely DO NOT keep their value. Performance Didn't jog much, but it's built for it. Solid construction. Comfort Lower only because of the weak cooling fans. Energy absorption is good. I'm tall, but the hand rails are a good height. Ease of Use Very friendly, push-button interface. Not overly complicated. Functions are easy to read, even with my glasses off! Durability No issues. No strange rattles or squeaks during the time I owned it. Design Once moved into the room, it's not too difficult to set-up and adjust. Again, it's heavy. It has built-in wheels that work well, even on carpet, when folded and pushing.

I use it daily and it's fabulous!

I own this treadmill and I couldn't be happier about it's performance and durability. It has worked perfectly for almost three years now.  I really only use it daily about 50% of the year (when it's too cold to run outside) but I've never had any trouble with it's operation.  make sure and read the owner's manual befor setting up.  There are some specific guidelines about not leaving it in the incline postion, etc. The fan seems to be at an odd angle because it doens't hit my face at all! But i love all of the display options and the incline option. There are also fabulous pre set programs to help with weight loss and calories burned.  They are all easy to use and understand. For an at home treadmill, proform gives you the best bang for your buck for sure. It stores well and is easy to take up and down. I worried that it would be too heavy for me to put up every day but it is very simple and compact.  We store it in the front room of our apartment and I barely notice that it's there.

I love my treadmill!

I have owned this particular treadmill for about two years now. The last Pro Form treadmill I owned lasted 7 years and I "ran it into the ground." In fact, when I got rid of my old Pro Form it was still in operable order, just loud. Therefore, I looked at nothing else but a Pro Form when I shopped for my new treadmill. The feature I like the most for me is the timer. I like to keep track of the time I'm on the treadmill, knowing what my usual time is per mile, to keep track of how far I ran. There is a distance feature, but it doesn't seem accurate to me. The other readout is calories burned. This treadmill also has an adjustable fan with two speeds which is great to use on hot days. Power incline is from 0-10 and adjusts smoothly. I have the space saver model treadmill, which folds upright and has wheels on front for easy moving. The handles are smooth, and the key attaches to clothing so it will pull out and stop the treadmill if the person falls. There's no other brand I'd go to for a treadmill than Pro Form!

ProForm 650 Crosstrainer CAN be your friend!

I used to work as a fitness consultant, and therefore, tend to be a little more picky about my treadmills at home.  It's hard to compare a gym treadmill to a home one, but this ProForm has exceeded all of my expectations.  I use it about 4-6 times a week, and run between 6-8 miles/hr.  I usually go for about 40 minutes, but also add a warmup and cool down.  I have had this treadmill for 2 years, and still have not had any problems with it.  The belt did slip to the side a little, but I was able to adjust it using the alan wrenches provided.  Keep in mind that if you choose to set it up yourself - it is a little heavy, and does take some time. My best advice when choosing a treadmill - get one that will fit in a space that allows the treadmill to stay in the DOWN position.  The second you put that treadmill up in the folding position, your mind will think it is less important to use.  It has worked great for me and has kept me on track, even after having 2 babies :)

has held up exceptionally well

I have been using the proform 650 for 3+ years averaging 6 times a week at 30-40 minutes a session. When I began I weighed 350# (max. suggested is 300# I believe) and I am now down to 295#. I don't have a single complaint though if I do purchase another treadmill down the line it would be programable to my needs. The current built in programs are more of a hassle than the manual ones. I have been fairly hard on the machine and it works as well today as it did when I bought it considering that I have probably put on around 2000 miles on it.

A great buy!

Got this for Christmas and thought I would just use it to walk, but I've been running on it too.  I love it!  It tracks everything I need it to and it has preset workouts for you if you'd like a challenge.
