Pretty good bike

I purchased this ProForm 120 Recumbent Cycle to go in my exercise room and I have found that it is a really good stationary bike and it has been wonderful in helping me burn extra calories. First of all I can say that I am very happy with the seat on this bike. I found that for me it is very comfortable and the seat has enough cushion to keep me on it for long periods of time. I love the way the back of the seat leans back which makes it even more comfortable and since I am comfortable I can pedal faster and longer and burn more calories. This is the perfect size bike and is easy to store if you have to. I also like the fact that on this ProForm bike that I can adjust the seat since I am short and I always have to move it as close as possible. The price of this product is a little expensive but I found it to be well worth it though. It has so far proven to be very durable and I have not had too many problems yet. I also like that it has a digital display so I know what I am accomplishing. Anyone looking for a new exercise should try this product. One more thing I love about it is that it really is nice to look at. It is not tacky as some of the bikes I have seen out there.

Not Very Comfy

This was my first of several recumbent bikes to purchase. I have to say that it was quite a disappointment. First of all, the bike is terribly uncomfortable. I do not think that the seat was well designed at all. The seat is not very well cushioned, and when I plan to sit for an extended period of time to workout, I would prefer much more lumbar support. In general, the whole bike feels quite flimsy, and when I get up to any significant speed, the bike shakes and seems as if it might fall apart at any second. Another complaint I have is with the handle bars near the display. I'm not really sure what purpose they aim to serve. I certainly can't hold them while I'm cycling. Not only are they in an awkward position, but they are entirely to far away to be of any use. The angle of the seat has me at a downward slope, which puts way too much pressure on my feet as I cycle. This would be extremely bad for someone who suffers from edema or any other circulatory issue as the blood would be likely to pool in the feet.

Great way to burn extra calories lounging

I tried using the ProForm 120 Recumbent Cycle several cardio sessions and found it to be useless for my level of cardio. It does provide a good quad workout when I ramp up the resistance to the highest level, but I don't want to use this recumbent as a muscle builder so I decided to use it as furniture. Instead of sitting on a couch I have positioned this cycle in front of my television and pedal for hours to help me burn extra calories while lounging. The seat is very comfortable and the back angle has enough tilt to allow me to stay in one position for a long period of time without feeling stiff. What I like most about this cycle is that it is extremely quite. I can pedal slow or fast and still hear the television without adjusting the volume. The only downside I have found to this machine is that it has little side to side movement when I increase my speed, but it never feels like it will fall over. Also the heart rate monitor handles are a little slippery and the readings are a little off, but it doesn't affect my workout. I would definitely recommend the ProForm 120 Recumbent Cycle as a way to burn extra calories when sitting.
