Excellant Quality, Top of the Line for a Great Price!

5

Just purchased this headset a couple of weeks ago to pair with my Sanyo Eclipse.  It works great!  I am really weird about my ears and it does not hurt or annoy them in the least bit.  I've worn this for atleast 4 hour intervals on long road trips and have had no problems.  It lasts on a charge for atleast 8 hours as suggested and has not cut out on me yet.  The sound quality is excellant.  I can even walk from room to room in my house and be far away from my phone and the sound is still good, not perfect, but legit enough to not have to have the phone attached to your hip at all times.  It's sleak in appearance and really makes at statement.  It is a very attractive and comfortable headset.   On another note, my husband also has this headset and pairs it with a motorola razr and his work blackberry and it works great with both!  You really just can't beat this headset.  It is top of the line for the price!

Waste of money

After reading so many great reviews, I thought this bluetooth was just what I was looking for, without spending too much money. I couldn't have been more wrong. Nothing on this gadget works properly. There is no filtering of background noise, if anything, it amplifies the background sound. The charger is a pain in the neck to put together, and why it isn't already done is beyond me. Not to mention it is flimsy and every time I use it I am afraid it will fall apart in my hands. Making calls is a nightmare. Wether or not I am making a call from my cell phone, a redial, or voice command, it only works about one third of the time. It won't disconnect calls and won't shut off. When I am talking to someone they are always breaking up even though that never happens when I use just my phone. The battery doesn't last as long as it is suppose to. And they fail to mention two important things in the directions. Although you can adjust the volume minutely from the bluetooth, the real volume control still remains on the phone. Also, they don't mention that to finish off pairing the phone and boothtooth, you must click on the bluetooth on the phone, even after you are told the pairing is complete. I found this out online when I couldn't get the pairing to work, and thought I might be doing something wrong. Lest you think I just got a bad one, I bought another for my husband at the same time, and his is just as bad. The only good thing I can say is that it is quite comfortable to wear, as long as you loop it around the front of your ear, and not the back. There isn't one thing on this bluetooth that works properly, don't waste your money.

Plantronics, Voyager 520 - bigger is sometimes better

So, I got this after my sister conducted a lengthy research to find a blue tooth that has a good balance between cost and quality. The selling points of this particular model is supposedly it's comfort and overall quality of function. Now, I've never had a blue tooth before but I have tried wearing a few and I can say that in general... wearing those pesky things is a pain! But the Voyager 520 almost completely removes that. A comfortable design, albeit a bit bulky, it makes it easy to wear for extended periods of time. That said, it is a bit loose and if any extreme movements of the head can easily jostle it from place. Also, the style is pretty nice. Personally, I think everyone looks like some snooty know it all wearing these stupid blue tooths, but if I'm gonna look like that I'd rather do it in style, haha! Anyways, the performance... again, I don't have a ton of experience but this thing gives me a headache. I don't like to have a conversation over 10 mins with this on. Why? For one, something about an ear piece noise level (just like ear buds) it seems like you can't hear it so you up the volume and then it feels like it's too loud and your ear drum starts complaining. Two, unless I hold up my phone almost RIGHT NEXT to the thing, the blue tooth connection produces a subtle popping noise, which overtime just gives me a headache. It's just bad quality sound when there's popping and clicking going on and I don't like it. Three, I'd rather talk in person. But that doesn't really diminish this product :P Overall, I like it for what it is. It just keeps my conversations to an appropriate level of time!

Great for everday use

This Bluetooth is a great product that is frustration free. I've tried it on multiple phones and have had absolutely no problems. The first great thing about it is that it only takes like 2 hours to fully charge and then can go on for quite awhile. Also it had good speaker quality overall. The one thing that I do not like is that at times its not loud enough for me to hear it and the volume is maxed out. I wish that they would increase the max limit. Another thing that I found was that the design was very comfortable even after having it on for a few hours my ear wasn't irritated by its design. The ear piece itself is a good size and very light. It also has a good amount of different functionality available on it which makes my phone not even needed at times. This Bluetooth is definitely a great product especially when you consider what a great price it is at. Also one slight problem i had was the size of the buttons at times were hard to press but overall it turned out to be pretty good. I definately would buy it again

Plantronics Voyager 520 makes talking/driving a breeze!

I put off a long time getting a bluetooth as I didn't want to look like one of those yahoos walking down the street talking to themselves.  I do that, but didn't want to do it with something attached to my head.  I also don't like things in my ears.  The Plantronics Voyager 520 has a nice little bud which fits just on top of the ear canal - not all the way in it, so it's very comfortable and blocks out external noise.  You can flip the ear holder to either ear and it sets quite nicelly.  The first time I used it I called a picky friend and after 30 minutes announced I was on my new toy.  They were shocked at the quality.   Charge lasts a while.  Since then I have bought 2 as gifts.  Check it out.

The Plantronics Voyager 520 bluetooth headset is a terrific device.  Excellent quality, comfortable, excellent listening and voice clarity, easy to use, well made, value priced and worth every penny.  I've used several different brands and models and have found that this headset is fantastic!  Have also had the opportunity to deal with the parent company, located in Santa Cruz, Ca.  They are helpful, excellent customer relations and a just plain stand-up company.  I will be giving them my business for a long time to come.
