Keep your drones at work with the Plantronics - CS55 Headset.

I use these at work, having used a manual wired training set prior and the difference is night and day. The Plantronics - CS55 Wireless Headsets are head and shoulders better. The pros of this piece of equipment are numerous. The wireless luxury gives you freedom abound and allows you to travel at least 50 feet an answer calls clearly, for me that's to anywhere in our office. The volume is precise and the sound quality is clear. Some people say they have had trouble keeping these charged but I haven't had a problem yet with that and have in fact never ran out of charge while using it. The headset itself is very light and comfortable and sometimes I forget it's on and leave the office with it on. The only cons I can think of is it is tough to get it to stay on the phone. We've tried velcro, rubber bands, and propping things under it. Nothing seems to work.. We have ended up having to replace velcro every month or so which is rather inconvienent. Even with this con I would recommend this to anyone looking for wireless freedom and comfort for their minions.

Planatronics are great!

The planatronics brand is a great brand to purchase. I would recommend this brand to anyone.  I use this headset at work.  It is comfertable and lightweight.  It comes with muliple ways to wear either with a over the head piece or there are about 5 different ear type pieces. The only thing that kept me from giving this headset a 5 star rateing is that the base part that connects to your phone and lifts the head set when you are answering or dialing out, is week.  It goes through spurts of working and not working.  I sometimes have to pick up the handle to the phone myself to keep it from hanging up on my caller. Even after adjusting it, I still have issues with the reciever pickup not picking up all the way.  As for the charge. I have not problem with the charge for the amount of time and use I use this headset for. I like that if I am away from my base I can hear the phone ring in the ear piece with a little beep.

I'm no longer stuck at my desk while on a call!

I love this headset.  I got one through my job because I'm on the phone a lot (and on hold a lot).  My neck is no longer kinked out at the end of the day from holding the earpiece with my head and shoulders.  It's easy to set up and keeps a charge for a long time as long as you make sure you hang it up on the charger when you are not using it (The green light on the base unit will be on to show it's charging.  If it's not then press the button on the right side of your headset to turn it on).  It's also helped me not break out so much (dirty phone no longer pressed against my chin!)  The calls are crisp and clear-no static (just make sure to "test" the volume with someone by making a test call to a friend or family member first). With the Plantronics CS55 headset I can walk around the office while on hold, or while handling a call.  It has a really good range.  The only drawbacks I've found are that for one, it's expensive.  I didn't have to pay for since I use it at work, however if you are purchasing it yourself know that it's not cheap... but you do get what you pay for.  Also, you can talk while walking around, however you will not be able to answer new calls coming in or "end" calls. For me it's been great.  If you can afford it I would completely reccommend it.

Would rather use a handset over this

2

I work at an office where I answer the phones for over 60 companies.  I was eager to use a headset so I didn't have to keep picking up a handset each time the phone rang (which was a lot!).  I am not very impressed with this headset, and I will tell you why.  First off, the headset is suppose to charge all night.  When I get in at 8:30am and turn on the phones, it won't last the whole day.  I will have to switch around my cords and put it back on the charger by around 3:30pm.  Very inconvienient.  Also, it is not the most comfortable thing in the world.  After a while, my ear starts to get very sore.  They need to do something about the comfort and possibly add some padding.  I know that might make it look stupid, but thats better than pain.  Also, its not the easiest thing to clip in and out of the headband.  We have broken a headband trying to do this.  I haven't been able to compare this product to other professional headsets, but this one is not that impressive.

The Plantronics CS55 Headset is useful and feature rich

I have recently started using the Plantronics CS55 wireless headset system at work. It was recommended by our company ergonomics specialist so I ordered it. I was pretty shocked by what they cost but I went ahead and ordered it. It was easy to set up and attach to my phone. The instructions were pretty clear, although it does get confusing if you don't order the handset lifter, which I didn't. I had to read carefully to make sure I followed the directions for not installing the handset lifter. I really liked that it came with the headband and multiple ear pieces which provide a more personalized wearing experience. It would be great for people who have abnormally small or large ears since the ear pieces are different sizes. It took me a couple of minutes to find the right spot on my desk, away from my computer, and change the channels to get a clear signal. Once I did, the sounds was really good. The controls are easy to use and master. The base seems to be larger than it needs to be, but I don't know if other headset bases are bigger or smaller. Overall I'm happy with the headset.
