Not worth the energy.

This is a great option if you have very little money to be able to spend on a treadmill, and I mean very little. This is a manual treadmill which means exactly what it sounds like, you have to manually turn the belt with your walking or your running, there is absolutely no power that runs to this at all, so everything that you do has to come from human power and you have to make it move the speed that you want it to go. This is nothing fancy and does not have anything special on it to tell you the speed you are going, how far you have traveled, the calories burned, your heart rate, it has none of that which makes it very plain and probably not that useful to most people. It is small and it does fold up to make it easy to store and keep it out of the way, but that is the only real positive thing that I think it has going for it. It is hard to get a consistent workout because it does not keep you going at a certain speed, your speed varies based on your own work you put into it and then you gradually slow down. I would not recommend buying this but spending a bit extra and buying an electric one.

Very difficult to get this treadmill moving

2

I purchased the Denise Austin Manual Treadmill with Space Saver Design before I purchased my electric treadmill. I wanted to exercise at home, but I did not want to invest a lot of money as I was getting started with my home exercise routine. I thought a manual treadmill would be a great way to inexpensively start exercising at home. I should have saved my money. First, the construction of this manual treadmill seems somewhat flimsy and not sturdy at all. Second, it is very difficult to get the belt moving. Once you do get the belt moving, I find that the belt often "catches" as you're walking on it. I have stumbled on a number of occasions while I have been walking on this treadmill. Overall, I am not impressed at all with the Denise Austin Manual Treadmill with Space Saver Design. While it is inexpensive, the quality is just not there. I recommend that you save your money to invest in a nicer, electric treadmill.

Feel the burn! Walk away the calories away - fast!

I started using a manual treadmill because I have limited space to store it but found out that it is a much better work out than the motorized version! This model folds away nicely and is easy to use (and quiet too!)   Not only is it well worth the money, but you definitely burn more calories propelling your body weight.   I've received numerous compliments about my shapely legs - all thanks to this wonderful, simple treadmill.
