We installed these windows in our 1910 American Foursquare to replace the old original wood windows that were rotting and falling apart.  The wood windows definitely had their charm and appeal, but charm and appeal doesn't keep you warm in the winter.  We went with the Pella windows because Pella is such a great brand and we wanted something that would last and work well.  These windows fit the bill!  We had to order all custom sizes and they came in about 2 weeks.  They were easy to install, easy to operate and easy to keep clean... everything our wood windows weren't!  I don't feel any draft at all around these windows, which is great for energy efficiency.  They slide easily and the locks work flawlessly.  They come in lots of different colors and with different features available.  My husband and I chose colonial grids in the upper portion of the window with a clean glass in the bottom section and they look great, they actually add to the look of our house instead of taking away from it like my husband was afraid would happen if we replaced the wood windows with vinyl.  They're clean and great looking windows.
