I went to a Paul Mitchell focus cosmetology school, and in being at the school for over 10 months, I came to realize that when our teachers were telling us "box color is horrible for your hair", when it came down to the facts, the Paul Mitchell Color was worse for my hair then box color from Walmart. Most of the time I had hot roots (roots that were not the same color as the rest of the strand), and the color looked dull, and faded with every wash. This happened with every color i chose including the PM Shines.

I have been using Paul Mitchell color for years, but only because I enjoy changing the color of my hair every month. This stuff is good for those of you that like to change your hair frequently. It's very healthy for your hair, but it doesn't last very long.
