Rectangular Baker is fantastic addition to the baking collection

I have been a long time fan of Pampered Chef, and the stoneware is definitely one of my favorite products! Stones bake evenly and retain heat amazingly well; they will keep your dishes warm long after they've come out of the oven, which makes it perfect for parties/potluck. I've never had problems with burning the bottoms on cakes or casseroles (I'm guessing because of the even heat distribution), so that's yet another plus. It doesn't take a lot of greasing to prevent sticking, and I love that my cookies/biscuits come out with a beautifully golden brown bottom. This dish is heavy (but sturdy), so I suggest placing it in a lower, easily accessible location. The stoneware pieces do come with a higher price tag, so it's wise to buy when there is a promotion going on; otherwise, I suggest hosting a party and earning some free product value. If none of these options are available to you, then start slowly and build up your collection over the space of a few years; you will not regret it.

A good looking baker

I own the Pampered Chef Oval Baker, which is the same as the rectangular baker, except it's a bit smaller and it's oval-shaped. It's a nice alternative to the rectangular baker and a little less expensive. I have had it for several years and it's a very good stoneware pan - it heats evenly and everything comes out well it, and also looks really nice in it - you can definitely bring it right to the table to serve food directly from the pan. Like all the Pampered Chef stoneware pans, you cannot use soap when washing up, but the scrapers that come with the pans work wonders and I've never had trouble cleaning the pan. I did balk at spending the money, but if you are invited to a Pampered Chef party and are feeling the pressure, this pan is a good choice.

Best Stone Bakeware in the World!

I love Pampered Chef!! My mom sold it when I was younger. She handed it down and bought it for me when I moved out. I can't burn hardly anything and it is pricey but well worth the results. I can make anything with Pampered Chef! Food stays warm forever, you must follow directions like heat it up with the oven if it has been stored in the fridgeand such...no soap but easy cleaning!!

Great quality baking dish!

I received this stoneware baking dish ass a gift.  I would not have bought it for myself, because of the price tag.  I really enjoy using it, though.  It is huge!  It holds heat very well, so it is perfect for potluck dinners.  It will keep food warm much longer than a glass or metal pan would.  It is pretty easy to clean, although the sheer size and weigh of it can make washing a little trickier than with your average casserole dish.  The weight is one thing I don't much like.  It is heavy enough on its own, but when filled with food--especially with something pretty dense, like lasagna--it can be quite a challenge to get into and out of the oven.  Also, I usually have to modify the cooking time to allow for the pan to heat up sufficiently before the food starts to cook.  That may be something that Pampered Chef enthusiasts know about already and can allow for, but it took me a while before I could consistently remember that I needed to give this dish extra time in the oven.  It is a great pan, though.  Definitely high quality and will last a long time.

Pampered Chef Rectangular Baker is a favorite around here!

I bought the **Pampered Chef Rectangular Baker  **about 3 and 1/2 years ago and use it several times a month.    I also own regular glass bakeware, and let me just say that the Pampered Chef stoneware far surpasses the glassware!                            I've made casseroles, desserts, etc. and every time it cooks very evenly and has a rich flavor (and I'm not a good cook!).    I have even made the exact same recipe at the exact same time in both kinds of bakeware (Pampered Chef and regular glassware), and people have commented on how the stuff in the stoneware tastes better!                                  If you want to invest in some superb, high quality, lasting bakeware, I would definitely recommend the Pampered Chef line of stoneware!     I know it can be spendy, but hey - throw a Pampered Chef party!    It would be well worth it, and you can have fun!                       ****

I love the Pampered Chef Rectangular Baker!!!

I love the Pampered Chef Rectangular Pan! It is a great product. I really love the fact that it is so versatile. You can use it to bake anything. I love that it holds heat well and bakes evenly.  I love that it has a guarantee. It is a great product! But you definitely don't want to wash it with soap. If you do the pan will taste like soap. But since the pan is so easy to clean. Just run some hot water over it and use the scraper and clean it. It is so easy to clean. I really like that. I know that it is a little expensive but it is well worth the money spent.  I love that I can bake my food evenly with this. And I know that when I use this product I am using something if quality. It is kind of heavy but it is such a great product that I don't mind. I know that when I am baking with the Rectangular Pan that it bakes evenly and that I won't burn it. I woudl recommend the Pampered Chef Rectangur Pan to anyone.

lasts forever

I had a ampered chef show in March and had a lot of product money so I decided to get this.  My sister had one for 5 plus years and I had seen her use it lot.  I thought it was pretty expensive so that's why it took me song long to decide to buy it.  So when I knew I could get it for free, I jumped on it.  I have been very happy using this baker.  I liked the white but watch because it can stain so wash it really good when making lasagna or something with red in it.  It's a little heavy but I think it is very worth it.  It always cooks evenly and my food is never soggy.  I even use it for casseroles and have been very thrilled with how they turn out.  Stoneware is great because all you need to clean it with is water and its little scraper.  I know my family always puts theirs in the dishwasher and still works great.  It doesn't tear up.  It's a long lasting pan that may be pricey but in the end worth every penny.

This is one Pampered Chef stone no kitchen should be without!

As an avid cook, I am always looking for products that can speed up cooking time and cut down on cleaning time - this is that product.  Pampered Chef has a wide line of cooking stones, but the 9 x 13 baker is my personal favorite.  Pros - This piece of stoneware is very versatile.  You can bake brownies, make lasagna, cook a roast and even cook a pizza with this product.  The non-stick feature is incredible.  As with all Pampered Chef stones, it arrives unseasoned.  All I have ever done to prep the surface for the initial baking was wipe it down with shortening.  Clean up is a snap - no soaking for scraping is required.  Simply run hot water over the stone and remove any larger items of food with the brown scraper that is included.  It's that simple. Oh -and you might ask - how do you cook pizza in a 9x13 baker - simply turn it over and use the bottom for cooking.  Even the oustide is non-stick.    Stones can be stored in the oven and even kept in the oven during use.  The stone will help keep the oven a constant temperature and can help with uneven baking. Cons - If there is a con it would be that the use of soap is  not recommended for the stones.  Now for anyone concerned about bacteria growth, I simply wash my stone in the hottest water possible, then place it in a warm oven to dry. Another con is the weight.  This is not a light weight piece of cookware - in fact - it is heavy.  Once it is full of lasagna or any other large casserole, it could weigh over 10 pounds.  That combined with it being extremely hot can be a dangerous combination.  Take extra care when removing from oven. This stone also had a baking lid that worked with it.  The lid has since been discontinued, but if you happen to come across one on Ebay - buy it.  The combination of those two items make for a wonderful cooking experience.  FYI - the total weight of those 2 products empty is almost 17 pounds :)  Overall - if you are casserole, big meal cook - this is a must have product.  Other smaller products are available if you aren't sure you would use the 9 x 13

I''ve never burned a cookie or pizza using this stone!

The Large rectangular baking stone from Pampered Chef is a must for your baking needs. The flat surface spreads the heat evenly so that your cookies, baked goods or pizza dough cooks to a perfect brown....even if your oven gets a little hot or you forget to remove it from the oven right away (within reason of course!)  To clean the stone, soaps and cleaning liquids should not be used as they can seep into the porous material and taint the flavors of the food cooking on the stone. An abrasive scrubber should not be used as it may scratch the surface of the stone.  The stone comes with a little hard plastic scraper that one uses to remove crumbs, oils, etc that are leftover from baking.  A large round stone may also be purchased from Pampered Chef to accomodate a pizza, nowever I have found the rectangular shape to serve more purposes and square pizza tastes exactly the same.  The more you use your stone, the more seasoned it becomes....... and the more you will fall in love with it!
