The pampered chef bamboo specialty cooking set is a very high quality product with a pretty low price.  I have used this set for stir-frys and pasta sauces.  I think that it works well.  It is safe to use on nonstick surfaces.  The utensils do not stain (I've even used them in red pasta sauce).  I have these in a utensil drawer, and they take a lot of abuse, but they have yet to chip or crack.  I believe that the price is comparable to other bamboo utensils, but I feel that these are of higher quality. I'm not sure if these are dishwasher safe....I have not put mine in the dishwasher, as I am afraid that the high temperature could cause them to crack. Since buying this set, I have purchased other pampered chef bamboo utensils and like them just as well.  If you are interested in the Pampered Chef bamboo line, I would recommend buying one set that you think you will use most often and see how you like it.  I'm sure you will decide to buy more!

  The **Pampered Chef ****Bamboo Specialty Cooking Set** is great.  Cooking with these is a pleasant joy and lovely experience.  I have used this set for every stir fry I make and its a great help when I'm mixing up biscuits or cookies.  The **Pampered Chef ****Bamboo Cooking Set**** **is easy to clean up too, although its wood I can wipe any one of the peices down and feel confident its sanitary.    I have bought (and will buy) other **Pampered Chef **products I love **Pampered Chef**.  They are a great company that has a great reputaiton and I will further it without question in telling all my friends, who don't, about them.    **Pampered Chef's ****Bamboo Specialty Cooking Set** was affordable too, but a little high.  I am glad to buy any **Pampered Chef** products knowing I'll receive a quality product and the best customer service.   Thank you **Pampered Chef **for your **Bamboo Specialty Cooking Set**** **and other great products!

First of all if you have non-stick or even just nice metal cookware, you need to use wooden or plastic spoons with your pots and pans.  And if you're going to use wooden spoons these are the ones to use.  There are lots of advantages to the Pampered Chef Bamboo spoon set: - Bamboo is a renewable resource (it's a grass and grows really fast compared with regular wood) - You can wash these bamboo spoons in the dishwasher and with over two years of doing so regularly to our set they are none the worse for wear. - On a similar note they are durable, our plastic spoons and spatulas look worn, but the bamboo utensils still look good. - You can't melt bamboo in the dishwasher. - They look nice, I much prefer the look of bamboo to that of plastic. I really can't think of any downsides.  I'm sure you could burn the bamboo if you were careless, but with normal use and standard care, this set appears that it should last for years and years, if not decades.

These bamboo utensil sets are one of my favorite Pampered Chef purchases over the past couple of years.  They are the best, especially for use with non-stick cookware.  They are so much smoother than wood and do not harbor bacteria or splinter the way that wooden spoons often do.  Being a mom, I thought they worked so well that I gave them away to my kids, so now I have to buy another set for myself!  I also plan to buy a few more sets to give as gifts to other family members because I don't think they would buy these for themselves, but I know they will love them.
