I owned an Oster previously. I purchased it in 2000 and it lasted me till 2011. I paid 60.00 for it and was very satisfied with it. I wanted a bigger fryer and ended up buying one that I don't like and has already burned out an indicator light and the timer doesn't work on it. Performance I used this for all my fried foods. As I stated I purchased the one I had in 2000. I only purchased a new one because I wanted a bigger one. The one I had was still in working condition when I purchased my new one in 2011. I gave this one to my son. Ease of Use Very easy to use. simply plug it in and turn it on, your all set to go. The indicator light will tell you when it's ready and it has temperature settings for what your cooking. It also has a timer on it so you don't forget or leave your food too long. Durability As stated earlier, I had mine for 11 yrs. and it was still going strong when I gave it to my son. Ease of Cleaning T one I had was a bit harder to clean because the oil pan didn't come out, so I had to lift the whole fryer in order to empty the oil but other than that it was pretty simple.

As unhealthy as this title might sound, sadly it is true. This is our first deep fryer to ever purchase or even use for that matter. I can't explain how easy this this is to use. The weekend we bought it we deep fried cornish hens, which was AMAZING! So we had this new toy and literally went to the grocery store and bought things to deep fry. Did you know you could deep fry burritos? Umm yes and they are delicious. Ok, not that I have gained 5 lbs... The deep fryer is great. Set the timer and it dings. Lift the baseket and let the excess oil drip. Place on paper towel and let it obsorb any extra oil and cool. Comes apart easily for cleaning. Cooks very quickly! I haven't had anything turn out badly from it.

I love this fryer because I can just put my food item inside, set the temperature and the proper time for the item and go about my business until I hear the bell go off. If the product is not ready, I can put it back for a few minutes more. If it is done, I can put the basket on raised hooks to drain a little and then pour into a bowl and continue frying more if I desire. I had a fry daddy which I had to stand over and turn and turn and turn until the items were fried so I constantly had to be at the fryer. You do not have to constantly be with this fryer. Just fill it to the fill line with oil, warm it up, put the food in when the ready light goes on and no worries until the bell goes off. After using and cooling this machine, you can take the oil tub and place in a covered container and oil will be good as new the next time you want to use it. The machine is too big to place the entire thing in a covered container but the deep oil pan is about 10x10x10. I got a rubbermaid type plastic container with a good sealing lid and store it in my large pantry closet until I need it again. The fry basket is the largest capacity I've ever had for a fryer measuring about 8 inches wide by 4 inches deep and 5 inches back. Performance Best fryer I've ever had and largest capacity. Ease of Use No effort, just turn the two dials to the temp and time and let it do it's thing. The ready light comes on when it is heated and ready to go. Durability Much bigger than any I've used and I hope it lasts as long but I haven't had it a year yet so I can't really tell. Ease of Cleaning Very easy, directions included, easy removal oil pan and basket so the rest has no limits to cleaning after taken apart.
