No hassle; no mess

I love this dry shampoo! I'd never tried dry shampoo before this and, frankly, after hearing for years all about how messy and old-lady-baby-powder smelling dry shampoo in general is, I wasn't sold on trying it until I needed it for my own wedding hairstyle and several people I trust highly recommended it to me. I was surprised to find that it actually smells nice, but the scent isn't too powerful, overwhelming, or even all that noticeable - which I was thrilled about and consider a huge plus. It sinks in well to my hair, brushes away easily, and eliminates oil so my hair looks, feels, and smells clean and fresh, but without leaving too much chalky white powder all over the place. Like any dry shampoo, you'll have to deal with the fact that it's a white powder - so I would caution you to use it with care (i.e., over the sink, not while wearing a black shirt, etc.), but I didn't find it to be too messy or that big of a deal to wipe up. The bottle is small and discrete, so it works great for travel or taking with me to work in my purse or laptop bag. For such a small bottle, it was certainly worth the money because it has lasted me well over three years, and I use it several times a month, at least! I'd say that's great quality and value for the money. It's nice to know that if there's ever a time when a shower isn't an option, I have a reliable fall-back plan.

Perfect...for turning me into a little old lady (white hair).

I'm always looking for shortcuts for tackling my hair on a daily basis, without having to over shampoo & condition. So, I tried out a few different dry shampoos - Oscar Blandi pronto being one of those (as was recommended in a magazine). I will say that it's easy to use, effective in absorbing the oily/greasy hair appearance, and actually gives a nice amount of body to the hair. However, it consistently leaves me with the white hair appearance - despite how little I use and/or how much rubbing in I do. I have blonde hair and it still is very noticeable when I use this product. I can only imagine how it would look on someone with dark hair! Effectiveness As mentioned above, I must admit that it is very effective in refreshing the hair and absorbing any sign of oily scalp, etc. For a simple light baby-powder type product, it does the job well for giving an appearance of just washed hair. Scent A super nice, light, citrus type scent. I do like the smell!

Love it!

First of all, the scent is lovely! It reminds me of a light spring afternoon. I first used this after I got a new haircut to preserve the blow-out and it worked like a charm! Lots of volume and that yucky, greasy look was totally gone! I even got compliments when on my new 'do when I went out that night. I find it's much healthier for your hair to avoid washing it so often as well. I now keep a small bottle in my purse in case of unexpected over-nighters! The smaller bottle I have is more like a hairspray though. Effectiveness Wouldn't change a thing! Love it! You get all the body and shine without the weight and buildup of avoiding shampoo. Be sure to follow the instructions though, too much of it can make your hair look dull and dry. Scent The fragrance is gorgeous. It takes me back to this vintage clothing store I used to frequent in Manhattan. Very light and springy. My girlfriend loves it almost as much as I do. I can just go without perfume with this stuff in my hair.

Turns My Hair White

I started using this product because I do not like washing my hair every day. My ends can be really dry but sometimes my roots can get greasy when I do not wash my hair for a few days. I do like that this product makes my hair smell fresh and not look greasy at all. I do not like the applicator. It is a messy application and does not go on evenly. Sometimes too much pours out and I have a mountain of powder in my hair. Sometimes it just is more work then it sounds. I have not yet tried another type of dry shampoo yet. I will once I finish this one. I will not buy this again. Effectiveness It's effective in making my hair smell fresh and making it not look greasy but it also makes my hair look white. Once I put it in my hair I have to white my hair with a towel to remove the white powder residue. Sometimes I have to use a damp towel which basically defeats the purpose of not washing my hair. Scent It smells good. Makes my hair smell fresh. It's not floral or perfume smelling. It smells lemon or citrusy.

Looks great, feels gritty

Powder shampoos work better on my oily hair type than spray shampoos when it comes to dry shampoo. I am very fond of the scent of the Oscar Blandi powder shampoos. I am less fond of the price, but at least I don't have to use half the bottle in one go the way I do with the spray shampoos. If your hair is naturally dry you might get better results from the spray shampoos than I do. Effectiveness This fluffs out my hair and kept it from looking limp while still leaving the shine intact. You can feel the dry shampoo in the hair if you touch it, but it looks great. Scent I love the scent of this dry shampoo. I happen to love lemon verbena though, so mileage will vary.

Works in a Pinch!

My hair is very oily, so I pretty much have to wash it daily. I use this dry shampoo occasionally when I'm crunched for time. First, it smells pleasant enough, kind of lemony. It also does a really good job of removing the oil and grease. As a bonus, it volumizes. If you have the aerosol version, the application can be hard to control. If you don't apply the dry shampoo directly to the scalp and roots, it can leave a white powder. However, most of that will brush out. All in all, I recommend it on those days where you just don't want to wash your hair. It beats a baseball cap. ;)

I read reviews and heard good things about Oscar Blandi's dry shampoo. I purchased the powder and gave it a try. The powder does help to absorb oily and dirtiness from the scalp which helps if you do not want to shower everyday but want your hair to look great. The application of the powder on the scalp is the hardest part. It comes out in clumps and leaves the scalp looking white and powdery in some places. I think the dry shampoo in the spray format is probably easier to apply and doesn't cause such a mess. Sometimes when I use the powder it ends up more on the floor or all in one spot on my scalp than evenly distributed. I recommend that you give this a try if you want to avoid washing your hair daily but don't want it to look greasy. I would recommend trying the spray version. It doesn't give you as much value (price for quantity) but if it ends up where its supposed to be I guess it's worth it. Effectiveness It works when you can get it spread out on your scalp. Scent Smells great! Lemony.

I love Oscar Blandi's Pronto Dry Shampoo-but it's expensive

For those who are not aware, using baby powder or translucent powder on your hair helps cut some of the greasiness of unwashed hair, allowing you to get another day in before you wash it.  I prefer translucent powder over baby powder as it is flesh-colored and tends to blend in with the scalp better.  However, in a pinch I will use baby powder since I am a mom and always have it on hand.  I just make sure to brush it in and use a hair dryer.  I just buy Cody translucent powder since it is cheap.  My major complaint has always been that sometimes it falls out in clumps making it hard to blend in.  As a result, I wanted to try the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo to see if the spray resulted in a more even coverage.  I picked up a sample product and was not disappointed.  You could spray quite a bit and get full coverage.  Plus, it added a lot of volume to my hair, which can also be a problme with unwashed hair.  Con:  It is expensive.  Because it is so easy to use a lot, I went through the product really fast.  I'm hesitant to buy it again.

**Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo... all i can say is wow! **I am so addicted to this product it smells like baby but not like baby powder. We use it on our son's hair so his head smells so nice. A little defiantly goes a long way, it is really easy when it goes on and leaves her hair soft and shiny. its a bit drying and we have stopped using it on the rest of his body. When we have used it on the rest of him he sometimes plays with his hair.  in colder months it works the best cause his skin dries and he hates taking  a shower. i  love it so much I even use it on occasion for myself! it so gentle and some say that older persons use it the best  i dont have an older person but if you do then im sure you can find much better uses for it such as a retirement home or just even for someone that stays at home alot or is on some kind of bed-rest. my son was also very sick at home and this was my savior and may be yours!

QUICK solution for emergency situations

Out of all the different kind of dry shampoos I have tried, this is my absolute favorite! **Some learnings on Dry shampoos in general:** - I definitely **prefer the powder kind of dry shampoo versus the spray/aerosol kind**. This is mainly because with the spray variety (1) you inadvertently tend to use too must product, and/or (2) the product sometimes seems to just 'diasappear' from the bottle after 1 or 2 uses. No such problems seen with the powder kind. - **You will never really 'feel' like you washed your hair!** My girlfriends constantly complained that they still felt icky. I honestly think that it is more of them subconsciously knowing that they hadn't washed their hair than anything else. I do have to say, that sometimes **only you can tell **that you didn't wash your hair and noone else can tell s the shampoo definitely eases the grease and helps give your hair some volume at the roots. For me, dry shampoos are for perfect those days when you just have to run out of the door without having time to wash your hair. Just a quick run down on why **Oscar Blandi's Dry Shampoo may be the best dry shampoo choice**: - Results last for an entire day (or when you hit the pillow) as opposed to the results of other products that last for a mere 4-6 hours - Great lemony smell as opposed to the generic-sterile-ish smell of other products - Helps add volume at the roots - Gets rid of the grease instantly - Brushes out easily as opposed to the other products where the powder simply sits in your hair - Affordable **How to use:** The key to using this product is to treat it just as if you were using regular shampoo--except the water of course! - Take** **a little product in your palms (a dime-full should do, more if you have longer/thicker hair) - Rub the prodcuct in the midst of your palms to break the particles a little bit - Bend your head down and and rub the products on your scalp-just as you would with regular shampoo - put your head back up and brush (not comb) your hair--and Voila!
