Terrific vacuum cleaner. Was given to my by my parents years ago. Love it! I believe we have only had to replace a belt on two different occasions. No other problems at all! Continuously draws well, manuveurs easily, lightweight, not hard on my back to push (a BIG plus), reliable. Would buy it again - and definitely recommend it. Very good vacuum.

I love the Oreck XL2. This is a very lightweight vacuum with excellent cleaning power. I have 4 dogs, including 2 black labs. I have black hair everywhere. The Oreck does a great job cleaning up the pet hair. Since the vacuum is so lightweight it is easy to navigate and take up and down the stairs. This vacuum does not have any attachments, which was hard to get used to at first. However, the vacuum came with a mini version with a hose and attachments for edges and stairs. I now really like this as part of the reason I love the vaccum so much is how lightweight it is. If there were a bunch of attachments and a hose, this would ruin the ease of use. I just grab my little Oreck for edges and stairs. One other feature I really like is the size of the bags. I once had a bagless vacuum and found it very messy to empty. The Oreck has huge bags, so I rarely have to change them and when you pull the bag off, it has a cardboard piece that automatically covers the opening so there is no mess. The bags seem expensive at first, but since they are so large, you actually get a lot for your money. I would definetely recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Bought and Oreck XL21 as we were tired of lugging around the dyson we had.  cleans very well and is extemely lightweight.  we appreciated the fact that we can take it back to the store every year for 10 yrs for a complete tune up, including belts and brushes.  we had bought a floor polisher previously and that also came with the same service agreement.  lighted easy to move and cleans up very nicely.

I had an older model of the Oreck vacuum that I inherited from my mother.  I went into my local Oreck store to purchase add'l vacuum bags for it and walked out with a brand new vacuum.  It is lightweight, cleans in small areas, picks up everything and I have told three friends about it.  2 of them have purchased Oreck vacuums because of me.  As an Oreck customer you receive promotional discount brochures in the mail.  I then give the discounts to my friends to purchase an Oreck vacuum with the coupons I receive.  There is a new model that totally glides across the floor.  I tried it out at a friend's house and it is a Great Upgrade.  Keep up the Good work Oreck.
