This machine is awesome.  It cleans, strips, waxes or buffs any hard surface or carpet.  There are various brushes and pads than can be purchased separately for whatever job you might have for it.  You don't have to hang on for dear life to operate it.  You can operate it with a finger and a thumb.  It did a fantastic job on my sister-in-law's lanai floor which is a rough surface.  I've use it on tile and carpet.  I can't say enough about what a good job it does.  I'm allergic to fragrances and I'm able to use the cleaners that I can tolerate to clean my linoleum and carpet.  It comes with a CD that shows and tells you about all the different applications and the users guide has a quick start guide.  I'm amazed at the way it scrubs up dirt and grime from tile and carpet.
