Still getting used to the rotating (rather than the older style up and down/back and forth) head. Does a good job of making my teeth feel clean. The smaller head makes it easier to get to the back teeth. Has plenty of power, and I like the stutter timer. Performance/Cleaning Excellent power and battery life (7 days). The timer feature is really helpful: divide your mouth into 4 quadrants, upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left. Start brushing in one quadrant and after 30 seconds the brush will "stutter", telling you to move to the next quadrant. This model has three brushing modes, Daily Clean, Sensitive, and Whitening. Change modes by pressing the power switch. There are six different brush heads that fit this model, so you can customize the unit to your specific needs. Durability I can't speak to the durability of this model, as it is the first electric I've used in 15 years. However, my wife has been using an Oral-B since 1999, and all she does is buy replacement heads. On that, there is a wear indicator built into the bristles. They turn white after about three months of use.

I used to own Oral B Vitality before this one, and compared to Vitality, it is definitely a notch or two up product. What I like the most about this product is that it has 3 different settings and though I usually stick with #2 setting (sensitive), I do utilitize the other 2 settings time to time when needed. I have to admit, when first starting to use this brush, it took me a few tries to get used to its vibration (I thought it was a bit too intense), but I quickly got used to it and I don't even notice it anymore. Oral hygiene is very important for our overall body health (gum disease closely related to heart health, for instance) and I think it's vital to maintain oral health especially this time of the year when everybody is sick. Wash your hands frequently, brush your teeth at least twice a day and lots of fluids! One thing I wish it had is, when charging this brush, I have no idea how much time left for it to be fully charged, so I usually just leave it on overnight. Overall, especially for its price, it's a great brush and I recommend it to anyone!

I got the Oral B 3000 electric tooth brush when I saw there was a rebate for half off.  I have to say, I wish I would have gotten it sooner.  This tooth brush is great.  One thing you will probably need to do is buy extra heads, (so include that in your cost).  It only comes with one head.  I  bought a four pack, that came with 3 extra heads, and a flossing head.  The heads/brushes work great.  I love the flossing head, for those morning where I am running late or too lazy to floss.  It does a good job, but I still think floss is more effecitve.    I love the fact that this brush has 3 settings, daily clean, sensitive and whitening.  I use the whitening setting in the morning and the daily clean at night.  And both seem to be doing a great job.  I also like the fact that there is a pause ever 30 seconds to let you know when you should change zones.  This helps me brush the recommended 2 minutes without have to count.  I also like that it has a sensor to tell you if you are brushing too hard.  After a couple times, I have already learned the right preasure.   The stand is a little bulky, but other than that, I am extremly happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it.

I've used electric toothbrushes since I made a commitment to never have cavities again in the mid 90's. I've used many different models but I have to say for the price and performance this one stands out. Are there better models out there? Sure there are, but for what the price of a root canal with no dental insurance? No Thank you!!! What's even better about this model is, I bought it at my local shopping club and I got two for the price of one for the most part. They come with a travel case and I take one on the road with me everywhere I go. This model lasts a long time. If I had to complain about anything it would be the charging time...It takes a good 12-18 hours to fully recharge the handle, but it does last a week to 10 days fully charged. The other drawback is obviously the head replacement. But finally they now offer store brand versions which save your pocket a little straining. I truly recommend a electric toothbrush period, but if your on the fence to make the financial commitment, this one is the best deal out there!!!

I've been using this toothbrush for several years now and have been satisfied with the way it cleans my teeth. I would have to say that it does a better job than brushing you teeth by hand. An electric toothbrush supposedly removes twice as much plaque as brushing by hand. I had a tendency to brush too hard when brushing by hand and you can't do that with the Oral-B. Pressure sensor stops pulsations when you're brushing too hard so this a nifty feature. You get several replacement brushes and many others are available, but the ones that come with the unit have been fine for me. This unit also comes with a non replaceable NiMH battery, so if it ever dies you're stuck with having to replace the unit. I think I could cut it open and replace it, just not sure I could get it back together with it working properly. My only problem with this unit is that the connecting piece on the top storage cover broke and now the cover can't be reattached.

I like the toothbrush - it is light (not bulky). It fits comfortably in your had. It stays charged all the time and it stays charged enough that you can take it with you for a weekend with out the base. I only wish it came with a portable brush cover/ The brush rotates enough that it gives your teeth a good brushing and it is able to get way in back of your mouth. Its nice that it comes with a small compartment where you can store your brush heads in when not in use. It keeps the brush heads sanitary too. On an average I change my brush every 6 months. That is where the cost comes in. I feel the replacement heads are too costly.

I was skeptical that the Braun Oral-B ProfessionalCare would be an improvement over other electric toothbrushes I have used in th past. I was not sure that the actual brushing action would be all that different from any other electric or even much of an improvement over godd old-fashioned manual toothbrushes, which in expert hands are pretty close in effectiveness to the electric versions. So far the Oral-B ProfessionalCare electric has been a worthy entry in the toothbrush category but I really don't think it is better than any other electric. I like the feel of it in my hand a lot better than other toothbrushes, though--it seems a little easier to grip and to move it around in my mouth the better to get at all the surfaces of the back teeth and behind the front teeth. I am not sure how often to replace the actual bristles of the toothbrush, though. There is a recommended schedule but it seems to me the bristles wear out really fast.

i've been using it for 3 years since i got married. My husband got it and at first i didn't use it because i was using my manual toothbrush...after awhile since we already bought it and he's using it, i decided to switch to this electric toothbrush. It does an amazing job. There are 3 settings that you can choose from, from steady to pulsing, to going back between fast and slow pulsing. I'm used to one of the setting. It also stops a bit to let you know it's time to swtich to other quadrant of your mouth. I guess it's 1 minute each quadrant. So you don't have to count or time or look at the clock to make sure you are brushing your teeth with enough time. The head actually change color when it's about to change to new brush. I didn't realize that until recently when my husband switched to a new brush and he's got a differnet color than mine. It takes about a day recharge fully if the battery is running low (by the time it flashes light and beeps)

I have loved having this toothbrush and using it. My parents gave my husband and I this toothbrush because I went to the dentist and had a lot of cavities. So they thought this would help. First, I love the two minute timer and then the beeps in between to tell me where to move the brush on my teeth. This has helped me brush my teeth the right amount of time. Second, I like how it doesn't let you brush too hard. I have had less sensitive teeth since using this brush. It doesn't brush as hard if you try brushing hard. This is nice especially with the reseeding gum issues that arise from brushing too hard. Third, the charger that charges the toothbrush works well, it just takes awhile which I don't mind. Fourth, the carrying case is also nice for when we go on trips it works great for it lets you take one Braun Oral-B toothbrush and two toothbrush heads. This is great for my husband and I. Overall this has been a great gift received and my cavities have gone down dramatically since using it.

This is an amazing toothbrush! About 6 years ago my dentist recommended that I start using an electric toothbrush. He said it would be better for my gums. So, I bought the Braun Oral B Proffessional Care toothbrush. I actually bought the one with one charger and 2 units so that my husband and I could both use it. I have loved it so much. Not only are my gums doing better (I used to brush too hard and my gums were receding) my I have converted my family into Bruan Oral B users. A couple years ago my husband and I went on a trip to Australia with my parents. They were so amazed that our toothbrushes got charged at home and lasted the whole 12 day trip (we didn't even bring the charger with)! And with the traveling case the toothbrush is so compact! My parents have used electric toothbrushes forever but they have changed to this brand because of the long lasting charge and the size. It is a great, great purchase and well worth the money!
