What happened to quality?

Have used this floss for years and loved it. Unfortunately, what they are producing now shreds terribly! Did Oral B change their quality? Very disappointing. Even our dentist's office has noticed the decline in its quality.

The Oral-B Essential Floss Waxed Dental Floss is very good in my opinion. I have never been much for flossing until it tried this floss. I always will floss before I go to bed with this floss. it does not hurt my gums or teeth and does not shred on me or snag. Good product.

Oral-B Essential Floss-The Best I Have Ever Used

5

I have some dental work that tends to shred pretty much every brand of floss I've used, and considered trying other floss priced way beyond my budget. Then I did some store browsing and decided to try Oral-B Essential Floss. This stuff is awesome! It is shred-resistant, with a mild mint flavor and one package lasts me a few months! It works great for flossing between fillings, etc, and will not shred. It is waxed, but not caked with it, so it really cleans well between teeth. As for the price, it is a bullseye bargain, considering how effective it is as a product! I do wish it came in other flavors, but I won't complain since my last dental visit resulted in no cavities and compliments from the dental hygienist!

You get what you pay for...

This is the worst floss I have ever tried!  It doesn't glide easily between my teeth... it shreds instead.  I have very tightly packed teeth, and this is definitely NOT the floss for teeth like mine.  I bought it because I couldn't find the floss that I normally use.  It was very inexpensive, which should have clued me in on the low quality of this product.  Even the container it's in is hard to open... I have to use my teeth to get it open, so it probably harms my teeth more than it helps them!  Probably the worst thing about it, though, is the wax... it flakes off and gets all over!  I have never used a waxed dental floss that flakes!  It really grossed me out!  I used it once, and then immediately ran to the store to get a different kind.  I don't recommend it for anyone.  I love my Oral-B electric toothbrush, but they really went wrong with this floss.  They should stick to making toothbrushes.

Oral B Essential Floss: down to biz w/o shredding or catching.

I've tried a bunch of flosses this year.  (I guess I wish I'd find one that would floss for me as I sleep.)   On the basis of these trials, my first advice is that you choose a floss that clearly says "shred resistant" on the package.  **Oral-B Essential Floss **in the unique round case meets this issue head-on.  For only a bit more than dubious generics, **Oral-B**, a thin waxed dental floss, not only doesn't shred or catch, it moves with ease between even tightly-packed teeth. My life experience with teeth proves the rule.  You can have teeth as tough as stone and *still *be genetically prone to gum problems.  What appears to be occasional or even minor bleeding when you brush points to at least incipient *gingivitis* (gum disease).  So, 1) a trip to your dentist and 2) flossing regularly should diminish your frustration and fight actively against progression of disease. My dentist may compliment me on the beautiful alignment of my teeth, but my hygienist, Pat, tsk-tsks over the softness of my gums and always sends me home with a "Good-bye" and "don't forget to floss".  I know for a fact that I've slipped up somewhere if my gums bleed.  Regular flossing dispenses with the bleeding problem quite soon after you begin. I hate it when floss slips in my hand and cuts into the gums.  As a slow learner, I didn't realize that it is the *up-and-down motion* that removes the plaque and debris.  Eighteen inches of so with the **Oral-B Essential Floss** held around my middle fingers works very nicely for control *and* cleanliness issues. **** **Oral-B Essential **slides easily into the tricky places and moves comfortably below the gum line to chase that demon plaque.  It's one of the few flosses I've tried that does so without my having a tantrum.

Oral-B is UnEssentialFloss

Here is one of the drawbacks of Oral-B. This is that they do not specialize in Floss enough. Similar to the Johnson & Johnson band-aids competitors, they use force instead of leasure to perform the task. Their main competitor is Crest, which again, goes through the teeth with nothing but the most high quality care. When this happens the teeth are cleaned and the staned are removed. In general Medical Doctors suggest that your body deserves nothing but the best medical care. This does not meant that you should get implants, whether you need them or not, or buy the most expensive item on the shelf whether or not you can afford it. Instead it means that your body should be handled with care to prevent unnecessary diseases from occuring. Because of this less costs can be spent on the doctors and medical insurance, and more money is spent on having fun. Businesses, technology, and stores, are beggining to offer higher quality products that is suitable for all income parties in order to develop the most customer loyalty throughout our generation.

Oral-B EssentialFloss is my favorite dental floss!

I wasn't much of a flosser before I found **Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss**.  I was anal about brushing my teeth, but flossing was so laborous and just felt like a chore.  Since I found this Oral-B dental floss, flossing is so easy, I really don't mind it anymore. **Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss** is kind of flat like dental tape, but not very wide, so the width is similar to traditional dental floss.  It has a wax coating and a "shred-resistant texture".  I love this product because of how easily it glides between my teeth.  It even gets in between my molars in the back of my mouth in a cinch, and they are usually hard to floss.  Like the packaging says this floss really is shred-resistant.  It has never shredded since I started using it.  **Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss **comes in two flavors: regular and mint.  I buy mint because I love the mintiness that it leaves in my mouth afterwards, it just feels refreshing. If your teeth are close together, which makes them hard to floss, or you just don't like your floss because it makes flossing harder than it needs to be, I highly suggest you try this product.  It's the best I've tried so far!
