This camera has crisp clear images, very good optical zoom, and tough enough to stand up to weather, sandy beaches, and drops. I would buy this camera again. This camera is an excellent choice if you are looking for a camera that takes great pictures without having to take a class to learn how to use it. As great as SLR cameras sound, I know that, as a busy mom, I wouldn't have time to learn to properly use one. This camera, however, was super easy to use and took wonderful quality pictures. I love the various settings it has for museums, snow pictures, beaches, etc.

I love this camera!  It is the first camera I have ever owned that was more than just a point and shoot camera and I still find that it is very easy to use!  This is my third olympus camera as I have had very good luck with them and find that they take very good pictures.  I am not big into reading manuals so I was happy to find that I was able to take this camera right out of the box and start using.  I do, however, recommend that you read the manual to find out all the fabulous things this camera allows you to do!  I am a serious comparison shopper and do not like to part with my money and I can assure you that this camera is worth every penny!  I have been so pleased with the quality of pictures this camer takes!

This camera is a little more advanced than a first time digital choice. I recommend it for someone who has some experience but does not want to jump up to a digital SLR. This camera is packed with features and can be used in virtually any setting. The menus take a little practice in learning but are good once you have used it for awhile.The picture quality is outstanding and with the 10x zoom, you cab take great pictures even when you can't get as close as you want.This camera is durable and Olympus provides good customer service.

I've had this camera for about six years now. It has always taken amazing pictures. My mother recently got a camera with 14mp. We both took pictures at my sister's wedding reception and my old Olympus SP500 UZ did 100 times better than her new camera. The only downside to it is the shutter speed is a little slow for fast moving objects (such as my three year old). I have taken literally thousands of pictures with this camera and the quality is as good today as it was six years ago. My child just got the camera soaked so it is sitting in a bag of rice and praying it dries out. I just cannot imagine having to try to find another camera of this quality that I love so much! It is a little bulky and hard to carry everywhere, but the picture quality makes up for the large size!

I don't think I can say enough good things about this camera.  I bought it a little over five years ago, before my daughter was born and it has been an excellent camera until I broke it a couple weeks ago (after being dropped on concrete one time too many). Crisp clear images, very good optical zoom, and tough enough to stand up to weather, sandy beaches, and innumerable bangs and drops - I would definitely buy this camera again.  This camera is an excellent choice if you are looking for a camera that takes great pictures without having to take a class to learn how to use it.  As great as SLR cameras sound, I know that, as a busy mom, I wouldn't have time to learn to properly use one.  This camera, however, was super easy to use and took wonderful quality prints without having to do much more than leave the settings on automatic. If you have a chance to buy this camera, take my advice and get it.  You won't regret it!
