I have tried almost every brand of after-sun lotion. I never heard of this until my brother asked me to order some online for him because he couldn't find it in the store. I picked up an extra bottle for myself since I like to "break the rules" and indulge in too much sun. I was really surprised by how nice this made my skin look and feel. Scent Smells ok but I have a lot of nicer smelling lotions! Absorption This absorbs nicely into my skin. It does not make my skin feel overly greasy or sticky. Effectiveness This did a wonderful job of nourishing and hydrating my parched, tanned skin. This has a lot of great ingredients that really penetrate into the skin to make it so soft, smooth, and young looking. This not only makes your skin feel and look great but using it will prolong the life of your tan! You can use this even when your not tanning but there are so many lotions to try, I only use it in the summer time.

I have used this after-sun lotion with aloe as well as the Banana Boat version, and I really do like them both but this one smells better! The Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion with Aloe is a must-have product to keep on hand during the summer months. And don't forget to take it on vacation with you, either. You can purchase this product easily at a drug store or big box store, but you will pay more for it at the beach if you forget it. It really does help extend your tan and also give some moisture back to your skin that the son depletes. The aloe is an added benefit if you have a slight sunburn. I like the lotion formulation because it is not sticky like the 100% aloe gels that you can buy. If you have a serious sunburn, you will need that sticky 100% aloe gel, though. But the Ocean Potion lotion works really great and smells amazing, just like the beach. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who spends time in the sun.

I have been using this lotion for years especially in the summer! It truly is awesome and does so much for such a little amount of money! I had initially bought it as a tan extender but ended up loving the way it made my skin feel! It made my skin silky and soft without any heavy, greasy feeling. Plus it's yummy creamsicle smell is the best. Since it has aloe in it along with other amazing ingredients like tea tree oil, sunflower seed oil, vitamins A, C, E, etc. It helped with a very painful sunburn I got in Aruba. It really took some of the heat off and sting out of my skin. Plus I have sensitive skin and this did not cause any breakouts! Scent I suppose if you're not a creamsicle fan, you may not like it but chances are if you do like them, you'll love the scent. Absorption It's featherweight and so moisturizing. My skin drinks it in. It's wonderful. Even worked on dry skin on my elbows! Effectiveness Yes it's highly effective as a tan extender, a sunburn reliever, and a moisturizer! This could be an all year round lotion if you wanted it to be!

This is a great lotion, I was trying to find something to use one summer and discovered this. It is great to use during hot summer days after being in the sun or pool. The aloe is great for when you have been slightly sunburned and moisturizes to keep your skin from drying out. I love that it is enriched with pure natural aloe and enriched with vitamins. Scent This lotion has a great scent which I love, it is not a strong, loud scent that will leave you gasping like some do. Absorption I love the way this lotion is not greasy and absorbs fast. It is enriched with aloe and lots of vitamins to keep your skin from flaking and feeling dry. This is an excellent moisturizer to use daily. Effectiveness I would recommend this lotion to anyone, especially if you spend a lot of time in the sun and water. I love the way it helps to keep your skin so soft and keeps it from flaking and drying out. I use it daily to help keep my skin younger looking.

Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion Aloe Lotion is a great product and does what needs to be done, but I find it a bit greasy and doesn't absorb into my skin as well some other lotions do. I do use Ocean Potion during the summer months because I like the smell and I do like what it does, it just is not my preferred go to after sun lotion. Scent Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion Aloe Lotion has a very good scent that fits with the product. It is a very tropical and beachy smell and it adds a nice touch to a long day in the sun. Absorption Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion Aloe Lotion takes a little longer compared to other lotions to absorb into my skin. I feel is it somewhat greasy therefore it just sits there for awhile on my skin. Effectiveness Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion Aloe Lotion does what it is supposed to do. Ocean Potion is a great product to put on after a day in the sun. It helps keep a tan longer and helps relieve any red or burnt discomfort you have experience.

I purchased this lotion after getting a severe sunburn and it really worked great to help relieve the sunburn pain and redness and helped to moisturize my skin and kept it from peeling as much as it probably would have without using this lotion. It has a pleasant scent that wasn't too strong or overpowering. I thought I had applied plenty of sunscreen but missed several places that got very badly sunburned. I found this lotion at a local store and used it right away. It wasn't greasy at all and absorbed quickly. It made my skin feel cool and the next day the redness was turning brown. Scent The Ocean Potion lotion has a very pleasant scent that is not too overpowering or strong. Absorption This lotion absorbs quickly and doesn't have a greasy feel to it like some other lotions do. I really love the summer and the sun. I am a teacher so I spend a lot of my summer at the pool. I have fairer skin so I usually burn a little at the beginning of the summer months. I have tried a great deal of after sun lotions. I tried the Ocean Potion brand because it was cheaper than some of the other ones at the store. It worked really well at relieving my pain. It went on cool and gave me quick relief. I did not love the smell of it. It had an orange type smell and I did not like it at all. I have not purchased it again after one use. If you like the smell of oranges, you would like this lotion. Scent I really hated the scent. It was too much like an orange to me. Absorption It absorbed really quickly into my skin and provided quick relief for my sunburn. I did not feel greasy or slimy afterwards at all. Effectiveness I found it to be really effective at relieving my sunburn and soothing my skin. I would use it again if it was not for the smell.

I love this lotion. I first bought it when I was vacationing in Florida. I got a very bad sunburn and needed some strong lotion to absorb into my tender skin. The Ocean Potion lotion with aloe did the trick! It was very soothing. After applying it, my hands get sticky; so I usually wash my hands after applying the lotion to the rest of my body. I also use it on a regular basis on my legs after shaving them. The consistency of the lotion is creamy and thick, so I know the layer I am applying will remain on my skin for a while. This lotion is sold at any convenience store. I have had no problem is trying to locate it. The price is reasonable. I have heard some complaints that this lotion leaves stains on clothing. I have personally not had any issue with that. I have not used all the different kinds of Ocean Potion lotions; but this one with the aloe has not had any staining effects.

Ocean Potion Moisturizing Body Lotion with Aloe is my summer skin addiction! I always use it after a day at the pool, lake, beach, or out in the sun, when my skin has soaked up chlorine, salt, and sun rays and is in need of extra nourishment. This lotion sinks into skin really nicely, feels cool to the touch (especially after you've been in the sun all day!), and I think it nourishes my summer skin really well. I only use this product in the summer, not any other season, because it has a very strong scent. I, personally, love the way it smells! It smells sweet and fruity, like sugar or Fruit Loops or something - a perfect summery scent, but it is really strong and it lingers for quite a while after you've put it on (like, until you shower again), so if you are sensitive to smell or just don't want to smell too sweet, you'll need to avoid this lotion because the scent is very noticeable to yourself and other people. But I do love how well this lotion nourishes and cools my summer sun skin.

I bought this for the first time in 2009 during a family vacation in the Outerbanks, NC. I've been hooked ever since! It's thin, light, has a nice fragrance. It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. I've used it every day for almost two years and will continue to buy it even though it isn't sold by retailers in the Chicago area. I think it's a great bargain and I really like the fact that it is heavy on the natural ingredients and relies less on synthetic ingredients (there are some but they are the last few listed on the ingredients label).
