We tried Nutro Max cat when our usual Nature's Recipe dry cat food ran out one day. The cats took to their new food and ate heartily but unlike Purina, Iams, and similar brand foods at supermarkets, they did not overeat and throw up. The salmon protein is nutritious and clearly tasty to them. They ate when they were hungry and politely asked for more food when the food ran out in their drop down food container (by snuggling against our ankles). The cats' coats look healthy and shiny, even on the one that doesn't groom himself much. I was most relieved when I didn't see any vomit or discomfort which has often resulted from previous switches to other brands of cat food. Quality of Ingredients The ingredients are all natural and appropriate for feline health. The protein sources are perfect for cats. It is not too fatty and can be digested easily. Flavor Selection We have tried the salmon protein one and it suits our cats.

This is a fantastic brand of cat food. They use good quality ingredients and I trust their reputation and their pet food. We have been feeding this to our cat for years and she seems to be thriving on it.. We love the flavor choices and the different varieties are great for all different cats. Everyone should be able to find one that they like for their cat and feel good about feeding their cat better quality food. Quality of Ingredients The ingredients are all very wholesome and I feel good for our cat. I trust the ingredients and feel that Nutro uses high quality ingredients in all their pet food. Flavor Selection We usually stick to the chicken flavor, but I think the flavor choices are very good and they have something that all cats will enjoy eating. They have foods for indoor cats, older cats, as well as kittens and some more specialty type foods for "needy" cats. We have an indoor cat and leave food out of her all the time and she is the perfect weight.

I picked up a bag of this at the recommendation of a representative at the pet store. Two of my cats have problems with smelling, as in they smell awful. Rather than put them through another bath to diminish the stench I picked up a small bag of this Nutro. I was amazed! My two fatties, although they did not lose weight, did tend to eat less (the representative told me that because of the quality of ingredients they would eat less because they are using more of the nutrients rather than discarding it as waste). But the main reason I continue to buy this is because they do not stink anymore! Their breath, although not minty fresh by any means, can not be smelt across the room anymore! They are not gassy anymore, and most of all, they do not have body odor! This is a pricier cat food, and I continue to buy other brands for my other cats, but the price is well worth it in my eyes. Flavor Selection I do not see how I can really vouch for this. My cats seem to really like it though.

Nutro Max cat food is the second best cat food you can buy for your kitty! Nutro Natural Choice...from the same makers...is a little bit better. This food is very healthy and I guarantee you'll notice an improvement in your pet's health. It's all my kitties eat!

Nutro is the first food I ever fed my cats at the advice of our breeder. We have two Maine Coon cats and felt it was important to keep them well fed and I had read review for Nutro cat food and they were for the most part positive. After feeding them this food, though they started to have problems with their stool and also hairballs. Being the first cat food we gave them we thought maybe something else was going on until we heard from the breeder that they had changed the formula and she didn't recommend it any longer. She started using an organic food from a local place but when I looked into it the expense was just too much for us. We switched to another food and both of the cats problems went away. I'm sure this is a perfectly good choice and better than Meow Mix for example, but my cats do much better on either Natural Balance of their current favorite and mine Blue Buffalo. Sure it costs a little more, but hopefully I can save on future vet fees!

my cat just loves the nutro  products wet and dry he loves them all and we have tried other brands but they just dont get eaten the way this stuff does.he tendsto like the max cat varietys the best though. he really tends to snubb all other brands. but thats alright hes worth it and it is a very high quality food. the wet foods are used as treats for him and he really enjoys that when he sees the pouch or can he gets so excited you can tell just how much he really likes it. the best part is the substantial drop in litter consumption due to the fact that the nutro cat food does not have all the fillers that the cheaper brands seem to have in them. if you are looking fo something new to try try tis it is pricy  but well worth the cost a far as im concerned and i think that anyone who tries nutro will agree with me on that. best part is they sell it at the larger and better  pet stores  so dont try the mass merchandisers (target and walmart) they wont have it go to pet stores or check thier web site nutro.com to find a retailer near you

I picked up two little brothers last christmas at the local shelter.  they recomened the nutro max so i got it as well as someother brands.  When i used other brands they never finished the bowl, but with the nutro max they ate it all every day.
