My mother has Alzheimer's disease so her memory is very bad. About two months ago I added coconut oil pills to her medication regimen on the advice of her doctor. I give her four pills a day (two in the morning and two in the evening). They are large but I can get her to take them with crackers to follow. In the last couple of weeks, We've suddenly started seeing an improvement in her memory. Last week, She spoke on the phone to a friend who hadn't heard from her in a while and she was able to follow the conversation and actually asked questions. Later, she remembered talking to her friend and most of the conversation. since then, I've made a point of paying closer attention and must say that she has improved. The only thing I wish is that they would make the pills smaller so they would be easier for her to swallow. I would be willing to give her more pills each day if they were smaller.

I love this product! My skin is horrible, I have acne and this winter has dried out my skin beyond belief leaving wrinkles. I was very skeptical about using coconut oil on my face because well...I already have acne, why would I want to add even more oil to that? But I decided to finally try it last week, and ever since my skin has looked beautiful! This coconut oil is slowly but surely clearing out my acne, it's leaving my skin soft and it's great for anti aging! Just be sure to always get EXTRA VIRGIN and don't use too much. I would recommend this to people who have moderate to severe acne, and dry skin. This is the first winter i've ever had dry skin (New location & climate), so I'm happy I was able to find this to hold me through the winter. During the summer I have very oily skin so I probably won't be using this during the warmer months. The smell is yummy (if you like coconut) and this doubles as a kitchen staple as well! (as long as you don't use the same jar for skin care AND food) Countless benefits for hair, skin, and health! UPDATE: I recently starting using Coconut oil for "Oil pulling" (Mouth care) as well, and my teeth have been amazing ever since!

I cannot speak highly enough of this coconut oil and the health benefits of using it. I switched to using coconut oil a year ago when I decided to try a more natural diet. My body has responded unbelievably well to it. Coconut oil is incredibly easy for your body to process and digest. It also has a great deal of health benefits. It is so good for your body. It also tastes really good. I am not a big fan of coconut but this oil does not bother me. The flavor is not strong enough to overpower food. It also is great for your skin. I have a fungus outbreak that happens on my skin frequently. Using coconut oil on my skin fights off the fungus infection. It also makes my skin really soft and smooth. The benefits to coconut oil are endless. It is definitely more expensive than other oils. However, it is much higher quality as well. I would definitely recommend trying this out. I will definitely continue to use it.

I purchased this at the organic store a few weeks ago. I was expecting it to taste wonderful but boy was I in for a surprise. I grabbed a spoonful and tasted it and it was just like shortening. I want to eat it because it is so healthy and smells so good but I can't get past the texture and taste. I tried mixing it with honey but that didn't help. So I guess I will try to doctor it up different ways before eating it. With that being said, I did apply it to my skin because I was told it worked great as a lotion. It does work great but don't overdo it. I was so slick and oily that I couldn't stand it. But it is still way better than using a bunch of fake chemicals in a bottle. The smell of this stuff is fantastic so you will smell like a Brazilian goddess when you are finished applying it. I still give this stuff a high rating because it is so healthy and good for you. And I am very pleased that it is organic and not pumped full of chemicals and pesticides. This stuff has endless uses. Do your research and you will be surprised at what all coconut oil can do.

I cannot tell anyone how much I absolutely love this coconut oil! It really is like a million miracles jumbled into one jar! It is organic, extra virgin and so SO pure! I use this stuff for absolutely everything under the sun! Here are just a few of my favorite uses for this coconut oil: -Cooking & Baking: I replace a spoonful of coconut oil instead of canola or vegetable oil. So much healthier and gives your food a whole new taste. Yummy! -Face Wash: With a pinch of baking soda and a pinch of coconut oil I have a gentle exfoliating face wash. My face has NEVER been clearer! -Lotion: I no longer buy lotions that are filled with chemicals and preservatives. I just use coconut oil immediately after I get down showering. My skin is so soft and gorgeous. -Deep Conditioner for Hair: When my hair is dry and lacking luster I just put a little coconut oil on my ends when I get out of my shower. My hair has grown so much because I don't have to keep cutting off dead ends. It's incredible.

I use this as a night-time moisturizer, as well as one of 3 ingredients in my home-made face cleansing cloths. It doesn't cause me to break out, my pores have never been tinier, and my face feels amazing when I wake up in the morning. I've started using it on my underarms as well (I wax and use an alcohol-based deodorant, so my skin is DRY under there!) and it's been working great! Much softer skin, and in these dry winter months it's made the itchiness go right away. I give this an 8, though, because I wouldn't cook with it. If it's solid at room temperature, it's solid in your arteries. I'll stick to olive oil or grape seed oil. I've had numerous friends that started cooking with it and now have massively high cholesterol counts, so their doctors have had them stop cooking with it. It also imparts a VERY coconutty taste to whatever you're cooking...so unless it's a cream pie it's not my first choice.

I absolutely love this brand of coconut oil. I was a little skeptical before I purchased this coconut oil. I was not familiar at all with coconut oil or the many varied uses for this product. When I receive this product, I was very surprised to see that it was in a solid form in the jar, but then it "melts" on your hands when you take it out of the jar and it heats up a little. I have tried this product for cooking. I have not been impressed with using it in recipes. My main use for coconut oil is as a facial moisturizer. I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry cheeks) and have found that coconut oil works wonders to even out my skin and maintain a consistent level of moisture. Many people assume that coconut oil will cause breakouts. This is not the case at all. In fact, I find that my skin is clearer than it has been in years. I highly recommend coconut oil as a part of your beauty regimen. It makes a big difference!

This is one of our favorite brands of coconut oil. It is pure and has a fabulous coconut flavor. It is good for cooking, baking, and stir frying. I also use it as a moisturizer for my lips and skin. We also give it to our dog to help control her shedding. This oil is a solid when it's below 76 degrees and a liquid when it's above 76 degrees. Coconut oil can be used in place of butter or other oils in all baking recipes. I use it for cookies, quick breads, pie crust, muffins, etc. It is a very versatile oil that is also healthy for you unlike vegetable oil, soybean oil and some of those other oils.
