Nuby InfaFeeder: Portable Feeding Made Easy
A couple years ago the Boon Spoon was one of the most requested item for baby registries and I bought several of them when they were on sale. I loved the idea of being able to have food packaged before leaving the house and the ability to have homemade fruits and cereals ready to go when a child was hungry. The Natural Touch Infant Feeder (also called the InfaFeeder) from Nuby is a comparable product. You can fill it with pureed fruit, cereal or homemade food blends and serve it to your child when you are out and about. The silicone feeder is thick enough that it doesn't feel like it is going to collapse when you are using it but it needs to be a little thicker to be considered something that's durable for more than a few months of use. The thicker the food the more control you are going to have over it when you are feeding your child; you can use it with pureed fruits if you want but you have to make sure that the child is at the correct angle or they could end up choking on it. If the blend is a little too watery you can add some instant cereal to it to thicken it a little. They are not cheap but if you are looking for something that's portable and allows you to see how much you have left, this is a great option. I think it is easier to clean than some of the other feeders but with some fresh fruits like blueberries you can end up with a little bit of a tint left behind if you don't rinse it out as soon as you are done using it. Child's Comfort Kids love eating cereal or fruit blends out of this! Leak Prevention Most foods won't leak out of this but if you have problems, add some instant cereal to thicken it.
