With our son having Attention Deficit Disorder, we began to really watch what kinds of chemicals we were bringing into our home. Everything from cleaners and products began to be looked at more closely by myself. I started doing research on products and almond oil kept coming up as a great product for the skin. I was already using several NOW products so it was a company I trusted. I came across this Sweet Almond Oil and decided to give it a try. It is amazing. It can replace so many things in your bathroom! It is great for skin. I have used it on my daughter that had very dry skin and it really helped to soften it. And that could be done with out all the other additives. With my new quest, I began looking into changing other things and stumbled onto essential oils. For most things, you need to put the essential oil you are using into a carrier oil. This Sweet Almond Oil works so well for that. I can use it as the carrier oil and never have to worry. I added a few essential oils to this Almond Oil and I even replaced my face moisturizer. Even though it is an oil, it is easily absorbed by the skin and never causes me to break out.

As someone who likes to use more natural products, without chemicals and words I can't understand, and as a mother who likes to make homemade products at home this has become a new staple. I add it to my homemade facial moisturizer, I add it to my homemade skin moisturizer, I add it to my homemade lip balm's, I add it to my homemade sunscreen, and I even just use it by itself on my skin after a shower. The scent is almost nonexistent, its safe, effective and it is processed naturally. One bottle last months and months, and if you don't go through it as quickly as I do you can freeze half of it so it doesn't go bad and rancid on you. This product is perfect all by itself on your dry, cracked feet or dry, weathered lips. Almond oil is a natural oil and emollient so it does take about 10 minutes to fully absorb into your skin and is perfect for oil skin. It retains your natural moisture making it perfect for the largest organ of the body.

I purchaed this oil to use in my OCM (Oil Cleansing Method) along with castor oil and jojoba oil and could not be happier. It goes very well with castor oil for OCM and after OCM if I feel my face is dry a bit, I put a drop or two of this oil to moisturize my face. I also use this on my body after shower (my skin gets very dry and flaky during winter, and this oil keeps it at bay pretty darn well!) and it moisturizes and absorbs into my skin very well and quickly. I also drop a dallop on my brush and brush my hair with it after washing my hair. I even started to use it as an eye cream lately and think there are many other ways to use this oil! It is priced very reasonably and little goes a long way. I am so happy to have found this versatile oil and will continue to purchase it!
