I have been using this mobile device for about six weeks now and am not impressed. I have had consistant problems connecting to the internet on a daily basis. I have consulted three "computer experts" and have confirmed that all of my devices are properly connected yet i still cannot access the internet between the hours of 1pm and 2pm each day. I have also had many problems ay different times (8am, 7pm, 11pm, 2am, and 5am most recently). These delays have lasted a minimum of 45 minutes each time which is quite frustrating when you have a deadline. I live exactly 1.2 miles from the verizon tower yet this HOTspot can only be placed in two spots in my entire house. The battery life is not that hot either; it has never lasted more than two hours. This said, it is very fast when it is working properly and very convenient when working but it is just not that reliable as you cannot rely on this device to connect you to the internet EVERY time. If you require fast access 100% of the time, this is not the product for you but if you can tolerate a 70% success rate then you will love it.

The Verizon MiFi 2200 Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot modem is a great little gadget. We previously had dial up for accessing the internet and got tired of how slow things loaded. We were upgrading our cell phones and decided to give the MiFi 2200 a chance. We are very glad we did. Internet sites, including Youtube load much quicker. My husband and I are able to connect both of our laptops at the same time; something that was impossible with dial up access. Having three high school students that need to do research online means that if we could only get online with one computer, homework would take forever. Thankfully all three children can be online at the same time to do their homework....or check out Facebook. The main drawback to the MiFi is the limited amount of information you can download without being hit with a hugh overage charge. We do have to watch our usage to make sure that we do not exceed the 3 GB limit. Overall it's been a great gadget to have around.

I got the Verizon MiFi because our summer home in the mountains only had dial-up service or Satellite Dish service.  Both spotty at best.  I love my MiFi, it works perfectly.  I am able to go online without any problems.  The monthly cost is high but if you use the internet on a regular basis, it's worth it.  Because it is portable, it is extremely convenient to have with you anytime you want to go online.

The Verizon Mifi 2200 Mobile Hotspot is an awesome tool.  From the moment I opened the package, it was so simple to install and operate.  You can use it in broadband mode while plugged in to a USB port, or as a wifi hot spot when plugged into the wall.  And the best part is that up to 5 computers can use your wifi hotspot.  It is really secure because strangers cannot use your connection, because whom ever you allow to use it must have the security passcode in order to even log on.  The speed is the same when in broadband mode.  Though it seems to be a bit slower at downloading when in wifi mode.  I love the Mifi because my Mother who lives right next door can get on the computer at the same time as me and my children, and have only one bill to pay.  It is just very convenient.  I would definately recommend this product to anyone and everyone.  It can be a little pricey, but well worth every penny.
