We purchased the Nordic Track T5 zi last winter when our other treadmill broke down and it was too expensive to repair. We did our research as we were looking for a treadmill that would have some "cushion" when we walked or ran as knee problems are an issue in our family. While shopping, we ran acrossed the Nordic Track T5. On the treadmill it says "FlexReponse Cushioning" so we tried it out. It's true! When you walk, the treadmill actually has some "give" to it, softening the impact on your knees. Another feature that was a plus for us is the incline. Since I am unable to run, just walking at a fast pace and at an incline really gives me a great workout. The Nordic Track T5 does come with preprogrammed workouts for either calorie burning or timed workouts, but the calorie burning workouts are too advanced for the beginning, so it would be nice to have the option of different levels of workouts. Overall - I would highly recommend!
