I'm not a big fan of treadmills since I enjoy running outside and on softer grass. I've used this one at the gym though, and there is enough here for anyone to enjoy and not just use it as a coat rack like many others. It is rock solid and doesn't feel cheap or like it will break. The incline works well, and gives a good leg workout, which is the best part of it. Its harder to find a place outside where you can go uphill consistently, and this helps with that tenfold. The heart monitor is also a nice gadget to use which you can track. There is a screen that gives you plenty of information to keep while you use it, being able to track yourself easily. Cupholders are added to easily keep your drink nearby when you take breaks. Performance Does its job with minimal fuss. Ease of Use Very simple to use this, not much to do. Durability It feels strong and holds up well. Design It doesn't take up a lot of space, the gym that has them fits plenty in rows. Would fit well in any room.

I have owned this NordicTrack Treadmill for approximately two and a half years. Previously, I owned a different brand treadmill which I burned out the motor on. This treadmill, thus far, has held up well to daily use. I use it about six days a week, utilizing various speeds and inclines. It is very user friendly, easy to figure out the controls and operations. This is primarily used for walking, but I do occasionally run, as does my husband. It holds up well to that stress. It is not an overly fancy treadmill, with not many bells and whistles, but it does its job well. There are different running and training programs, though I haven't used them much. It has a lot of options that can be explored for programs. I love being able to plug in my iPod to the treadmill while I walk. I do not fold it up between uses, though it does fold up somewhat. It is quite heavy, though, so this is not its best function. I am pleased with the performance of this machine for the price that was paid, and overall I recommend it as a great everyday treadmill.

We have had this treadmill for years now and it still looks practically brand new. And that doesn't mean we haven't used it--we use it four or more times a week at our house. It has been incredibly durable and has not declined in its performance in the time we have had it. It still works like when we just got it it, too. This treadmill is perfect for beginners or experts in at-home workouts. It's super easy to use. You can get on and just start walking and increase or speed or incline with a touch of a few buttons. Or, you can choose one of the (10? I can't remember) pre-set workouts that challenge you by changing the speed and the incline at different intervals. I have used both, but I prefer to set my own speed and use a steep setting for the incline. Either way, the treadmill is super easy to use and you will definitely feel and see the results if you use the machine regularly. It also has the little card you insert to start or stop the machine, like an emergency measure, in case you fall or slip, you just pull the cord and the machine stops. My only issue is that it is a little bit noisy--I think the newer ones are quieter. This machine is durable and delivers what it promises.

My household was already outfitted with an elliptical machine but we also wanted a treadmill. After having a couple bad experiences, my husband and I did a lot of research and looked at several treadmill models before purchasing this one. We also agreed that paying more was a better option because we knew that the quality would be better. We were right. This treadmill is wonderful. It is easy to use and has so many great features. I love that the incline is easy to change and there is even an option to change how soft or firm the treadmill itself is to walk on. It is very sturdy and we have had no issues with this machine since purchase. I had to call the company once to ask some questions and the customer service team was wonderful and helped me a lot. This treadmill is worth every penny and it is the one that I have recommended to friends and family to purchase.

When my family and I were searching for a treadmill, we were on a pretty tight budget for one. After searching for what seemed like ages and having no luck, we decided to splurge a little bit and go ahead and get the NordicTrack A2550 Treadmill. This was one of the best buying decisions we have ever made. This treadmill is top-notch and is very high quality. One of my favorite features of it is an auxiliary jack to hook up media players to play through the built in speakers. This helps bump up the volume of your music which motivates you to work out even harder. There are also cupholders on it which is very nice to store your water bottle in when you are working out. It is a very durable piece of equipment and is extremely easy to use. It makes for a great addition to any home exercise eaquipment. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good workout!

We purchased this treadmill after looking at several treadmills.  Some of the other reviewers have touched on the same reasons we decided  on the A2550.  We like the ease of changing the incline or speed just by pushing the selected incline/speed.  The tread surface is also adjustable allowing a firm or softer surface.  This treadmill is used almost everyday and has been a wonderful investment for our family.  The space-saving design has been wonderful as our room is not extremely large.  The treadmill is solid and pretty heavy unlike some of the other models we tested that appeared flimsy.  One thing I miss on this treadmill is a fan.  I have installed a clip on fan to try and stay cool during workout but would have enjoyed a built in one as well. We have experienced on problem with our treadmill early on in its life.  The heart rate monitor/control board went out and had to be replaced.  After this repair was completed we have had no other problems with the treadmill.  I would recommend this treadmill to anyone looking to make a good investment in a solid piece of equipment.

Our treadmill gets lots of use. We have 3 high school runners who use it frequently. We all love the mp3 connection to run to music. Smooth and quiet operation, couldn't be happier with our purchaseI received the treadmill and noticed that the box was damaged by fork of a forklift. Once it was assembled I saw the damage. I sent pictures of the damaged box and the damaged machine with an email and received NO response. I called and I was on hold forever. This was gift so I would have appreciated some response from Nordictrack.The treadmill itself is good. But it would be nice to have a book that detailed all of the pre-programmed routines. Overall, I like the treadmill. It is definitely worth the money spent.I had been wanting a treadmill for years but was afraid to buy the wrong one. This is EXACTLY what i wanted! I don't feel comfortable on any other treadmill now... and i have already lost 25 pounds!Really great, sturdy product!

I purchased my nordic track A2550 over four months ago and I love it!! I don't know how I lived without it before. I tried out many different treadmills and then one just seemed to have everything I needed and extras too. This treadmill is heavy but also heavy duty!! It fold up into a space saver position has adjustable cushioning so if you prefer to walk or run on a harder or softer surface than someone else that may be using the tread as well you are in luck...you will both be able to find a happy footing. You can grip the handles for a few seconds in mid workout to check your heart rate and it will display on the digital screen. you can purchase ifit programs with a personal trainer walking you through your workouts or can use the pre set classic or weight loss workouts already in the machine. Or you can set it up yourself and go what speed and incline you desire. The workouts are excellent as it does all the adjusting of incline and speed throughout the workout for you, you can exercise hands free and not have to fumble with buttons. If you are looking to loose a little wieght, alot of weight or just want to increase your physical exercise, I highly recommend this product. we have not had any problems with this machine and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

I have had my Nordic Track A2550 for two months now, and I love it already. I bought it so I could run, and it feels like a very sturdy machine. It is also softer than most other treadmills I have used, so it is easier on the knees. The treadmill also allows the user to adjust how soft or firm it is, to possibly lower the impact on a person's knees even more. It has a 2.5 hp motor, which allows the treadmill to run flawlessly. Most treadmills I have used only have arrow keys to adjust the speed and incline. What I love about the Nordic Track is that it has buttons that run up the display that allow the user to choose which speed or incline with the push of one button, instead of using the arrows to make major changes. The addition of the iPod speakers and dock to the A2550 is nice as well. The sound isn't wonderful, but it is fine for working out. If you use the adapter that comes with the treadmill, the volume actually gets very loud. The downfall to having speakers to listen to an iPod is that the treadmill does not have a built in fan. Fans on treadmills are not very powerful though, so I do not miss having one because I have to use a bigger whether my treadmill has one or not. The list price of the treadmill is pretty high, but if you catch it on sale, which isn't very tough, it is an excellent deal. The A2550 looks so much better than most of the other treadmills that I saw in a similar price range, but you get what you pay for, and when I use it every day, I am very confident that it will last a very long time before it needs to be replaced.
