Very useful at a great price.

Overall, for the low price, this is a great buy. It's pretty low end but is definitely good enough for most tasks. I would recommend it for anyone on a budget. Battery Life The battery life isn't bad, maybe because the specs are low end and don't draw much power. Display/Screen Quality The screen isn't 16:9 ratio and it would be nice if it was but its very close and is kind of nice of a ratio. The screen isn't high resolution and is fairly blocky but really isn't very bad. The quality of it is pretty good. The glass on the front is fairly durable but can scratch. The display also has a feature where you can make it extra sensitive which means you can for example use it with gloves. It also has a feature that allows you to wake up the phone by tapping the display. Call Quality The call quality isn't bad, it 's fairly good. It's comparable to other popular phones. Ease of Use It runs Windows Phone which has very unique features but can sometimes be lacking features and sometimes the features it does have can be a little difficult and have a bit of a learning curve but not substantially. The device itself is very simple and easy to use, especially considering that all the buttons are on the right side. There also is a dedicated camera button which makes taking photos easier. Durability The phone's front display is fairly durable although it is still a little vulnerable to cracking and scratching. The back and sides are a remove piece and plastic piece that is exchangeable and is matte instead of glossy and is very durable. Design The overall style of the phone is very stylish and is iconic of the Nokia Lumia line of smartphones.

Has some drawbacks, but overall a decent phone

My husband and I both have the same phone, A windows-based Nokia Lumina 520. We changed phones and carriers leaving behind our coveted iPhones in an effort to have a "windows" household (tablet, gaming, and cell phones). Initially, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. But over time certain features or problems became increasingly frustrating. Problem #1 - This phone does not have a front facing camera, making skype impossible and selfies nearly impossible. Problem #2 - If wifi is on, our phone switches to Wifi Calling when we get home making it impossible to send/receive picture or video messages through SMS messaging. Problem #3 - We both work downtown and our phones have trouble changing towers when we leave the area. This means I have to restart my phone every. single. day when leaving the area in order to be able to make a call. Problem #4 - Windows is still catching up with Apple and Adroid stores to provide all the same apps we once loved in our iPhones. Currently unavailable apps include our bank, craft store (coupon) apps like Joanns and the apps they do have do not operate as seamlessly as they do on the other operating systems (like Shazaam and Facebook). That being said, we are saving a lot of money by not having iPhones, and Windows provides us the ability to have our docs/files seamlessly available on all our devices, which is something we really love. If you are in the market for a Windows Phone, I strongly suggest getting the 925 model and solving several of the problems listed. We still love the idea of having a windows phone, we're just hoping our carrier (and windows) can work out some of these kinks. I forgot to mention that this phone has a pretty decent camera. It gets grainy when you zoom in, however, it compensates for low light / night images which allowed me to take really great pictures at a night-time zoo exhibit. Neat feature. Battery Life Very good battery life (and I use my phone daily). Battery life is extended even further if you sign out of your apps (like Facebook) which I don't - and my battery still easily lasts me all day. Display/Screen Quality Crystal clear display. Call Quality As previously mentioned, my phone has trouble shifting towers, making it extremely frustrating when I have to restart my phone each day. Also wifi calling leaves something to be desired when I exceed the distance of my wireless router. That being said, I very rarely have a dropped call and almost always have signal. Ease of Use This is one thing that Windows has done really well with. They have created a seamless "tile" face that is uniform no matter which product you are using. So if you have/know how to use a Windows phone, you can easily use a Windows tablet, PC, etc. Durability I admit it... I'm a dropper. I've dropped my phone at least a handful of times which is why it's important to invest in a good screen protector and case. I have both and have had no issues with my phone as a result of it being dropped. Not a scratch. Design The phone is light weight and just the right size. Fits easily in my purse or jeans pocket and the buttons are appropriately placed in locations where it is natural for your fingers to access them without much effort.

Outstanding product for the price!

The phone is one of the best I've owned, especially considering the price I paid for it. I love the live tiles on the home screen. It is easy and fun to use the apps and phone itself. The speed of the phone is incredible. I love owning this Nokia Lumia also because of the availibility of free apps. I highly recommend this phone!
