I love this product. The first one of it's kind to work for me. My dandruff disappears when I use this product and so does the itchy scalp problem. The longer you use it the more effective it becomes. It doesn't damage or dry out your hair like other dandruff products and it will last until you wash your hair again, even if it's several days.

I have been using Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for several years now. It has really helped to alleviate my dandruff. Of course, it took several months of using it on a regular basis before I really started seeing a difference in my scalp. You must give it time. I have been using it for so long now that I can now rotate it with other shampoos. This really helps because the one drawback to this shampoo is the price. It is rather expensive. I really like the way it lathers on my scalp. It lathers just like regular shampoos lather. It also has a very pleasant scent. It doesn't smell like a medicated shampoo. If you have never tried Nizoral Anti-Dandruff shampoo, I would highly recommend you give it a try.

If you have major problems with scalp flaking and itching, then you may have too must yeast in your system. This causes the scalp skin to sluff off much more rapidly than the average person meaning that you may begin to notice flakes within hours rather than after days. Nizoral has ingredients that target yeast which is a fungus. Women prone to yeast infections may notice that they also have scalp issues, although men can certainly deal with scalp flakes and itching as well. Initially Nizoral was by perscription and a stronger version is still available. The milder over the counter Nizoral works well for most people though, so unless yeast issues (or dandruff) are really major, the OTC is fine. Nizoral does cost more than other shampoos, but it is not a daily use shampoo. For most people once per week works well with other favorite shampoos rotated as desired. The dandruff shampoo has a rather neutral smell. I consider that a plus. Nizoral works really well. Not only does it help keep the scalp from flaking for several days at a stretch, it also cleans well and leaves hair shiny and soft. It doesn't even seem to impact hair coloring, so while it is a medicated shampoo, it does not appear to do any damage to the actual hair. Some people may need to use Nizoral off and on forever while others may just need it now and then. It is estimated that 60% of the population deals with dandruff or yeast at some point, so it's good to have an effective product that takes care of the problem without causing other problems.

I had read some reviews about this product so I decided I would purchase it and see how I liked it. It smells ok for a dandruff shampoo. I haven't been using it for too long, but it doesn't seem to work as great as I had expected. I'm not sure if flaking is occuring just due to product that I put in my hair or If I actually have a dandruff problem, but either way it really doesn't seem to be working like I thought it would. I had also heard that It can help reduce androgen levels and therefore helps in preventing acne, but this hasn't proven to be true. Also, It's a fairly small bottle for a high price. I have found that head and shoulders seems to work just as well and is a bit cheaper. I'm going to keep trying it for a few more weeks and see how it goes.

I used tons of anti-dandruff shampoos before but none of them really worked. One day, my dad suggested that we use this shampoo and after a few weeks, It really works! I was really amazed and at awe at the results! You just have to follow the direction and it will work on you. After using it for about two to three weeks, I noticed that I don't have dandruff anymore. I used to have a very severe case of dandruff and I am so relieved that it's gone now. I can wear my hair in ponytails and I can't see a single dandruff! I am so happy with this product! You just have to use it every 3-4 days because it is really powerful and if you use it everyday (just like what I did before) it will make your hair dry and limp so just make sure you don't use it everyday. Also, you can use another shampoo since you just use this Nizoral Anti-Dandruff shampoo every 3-4 days so on the remaining days, use another shampoo or better yet, don't use any shampoo. I am so grateful to this product and I am going to recommend it to all my friends!

I've always had minor dandruff problems or maybe just flakes. Of course, it got worse in the winter and if I decided to ignore it and use regular shampoo, I'd be embarrassed to go out of my house. Last winter, we went to a dermatologist, who recommended Nizoral, along with other stuff. I've been so happy with this shampoo that whenever it's winter, it's time to buy a bottle and switch over. I actually don't wash my hair everyday, usually it's every 2nd or 3rd day and Nizoral doesn't make it worse. I tried Head & Shoulders too, but the stuff in the bottle is so strong, it was overwhelming. Nizoral on the other hand has no strong odors, chemicals, maybe. I like a bit of fragrance in my shampoo, so I alternate between Nizoral and my current shampoo whenever I wash my hair. It's still effective and my hair looks like any other person's. Of course, it's a bit pricey, but it works, so I don't have a choice.

I love Nizoral shampoo.  It's one of the few shampoos for sebhorric dermatitits that works and smells like regular shampoo so your scalp doesn't feel medicated.  The only problem is small bottles are very expensive, so that is why I only give it four stars.  If it cost less I would give it 5.

My husband didn't realize it, but he was constantly scratching his head! We have tried different dandruff products, with limited success.  Recently my husband went to his barber and his barber suggested he try Nizoral. It is a non-prescription strength shampoo that you use about once or twice a week in the beginning and then use as needed. The Nizoral shampoo did not change the texture or shine of his hair and the itching stopped almost immediately. We were both impressed with this product and would highly recommended Nizoral to anyone who is having difficulty with a dry scalp.
