I've always had thin hair and my beautician kept commenting on how thin it was. My mother also had thin hair with balding patches. I certainly did not want that! When I saw Nioxin, I just had to give it a try. The product comes with a hair trap you put over your drain. That way you can see how much hair you are losing with each shampoo or treatment. The scent is not great, but not offensive either. I obviously did not notice any hair growth immediately. I did start seeing less hair in the hair trap. I just kept using it. I noticed less and less hair in the hair trap, and I noticed that my hair started to seem thicker. After months of continued use (and taking vitamins), I seemed to have a lot more hair. My beautician even commented on how much thicker it was. I was very pleased with the results. I do wish it was less expensive. I would recommend trying to find the product on sale and/or use coupons if you can find them.

This shampoo did effectively treat the eczema that I have all over my scalp. My itchiness was greatly reduced. The flaking was also minimal after using this shampoo. However, for as expensive as this shampoo is I did not feel like it worked well enough to continue using the product after the first bottle. I felt like I had to use a lot of product to effectively treat my scalp. Effectiveness This shampoo did treat my scalp problems but I had to use the shampoo everyday for weeks before I truly felt like it was making a difference. I don't feel like it was necessary to use it every single day to effectively start repairing my scalp when other brands work just as efficiently when only used once or twice a week. I also felt like i had to use a large quantity of the shampoo in order for it to completely soak into all the parts of my scalp that needed treatment. Scent The smell did not bother me but apparently it does bother a lot of people.

Nioxin is a product that delivers the results it promises.I noticed regrowth within weeks of trying it.It will not bring back all your lost hair but it will help promote regrowth to some degree.It also did not dry my hair out and actually cleansed it better than most products. Effectiveness It delivered the results I wanted. Scent Doesn't have much of a scent which I am happy with.

The shampoo is minty smelling and has a hearty lather with a normal dollop of the shampoo. The conditioner is thick and creamy and leaves your scalp feeling alive and your hair soft and manageable. I also use Nioxin Scalp Therapy after washing/conditioning my hair. This product is applied directly to the scalp to stimulate hair follicles. A gentle circular rub of product into all areas of your scalp will show positive results if you are diligent in daily use. Nioxin Scalp therapy may be used on wet or dry scalp/hair. Not only is this hair/scalp cleaning system true to its word it will provide an aromatherapy treat that energizes your senses. The product is high end for price; look for it at Beauty Stores in Outlet Malls or web sites that offer coupons/discounts.

My hair loss is towards the front of my head and have used several products to stop the loss. This is the closest I have come to making it better. The product for me is great, especially since I have processed hair and can't let my real color grow out. At least not yet. I'm totally gray! So, I love this product's smell, very minty and when shampooing and conditioning, there's a slight tingle on the scalp. And I love the fact that it has brought down the loss of hair dramatically. It was recommended by a hair stylist several years ago. I buy mine online with a discount. Or if I see it on sale, I make sure to get some. The #4 is difficult to find in stores. Its a little pricey, but well worth it. I suggest you buy the small set and try it.

**Nioxin Level 4 Shampoo and Scalp Therapy ** A few years ago my best friends mother found out she had cancer. After her chemotherapy sessions were finished due to her recovery; her doctor suggested she use "Nioxin," hair care products to stimulate her hair growth.  i had never heard of a doctor suggesting hair care products before. It peaked my interest enough to give the product a shot. I bought the Nioxin level 4 shampoo and scalp therapy (conditioner). After using the Nioxin consistently for three months my hair was completely transformed. Before it was and not to thin, just a little damaged from the bleach used to color my hair blonde at my salon. After my hair looked like it was featured on a commercial. My hair was long, thick, shiny and vibrant. I had the longest, thickest pony tail I have ever had in my life. My hair had less tangles, and hardly any frizzes. Being that I live in Houston, Texas the fact that I have no frizz in my hair should be considered a miracle. The level four is the best to me personally because it is the strongest. Even though you might not consider yourself to have thinning hair I would still recommend the level four. Also, Nioxin has to be used consistently in order to work. It also takes about 2-3 months before you notice the difference (well worth the wait). The only down side is the price. Due to how great the product is I am surprised it doesn't cost more, but there are many ways to save on Nioxin. If you have a "Ulta," store in your state, they always have coupons for 20% off. Amazon.com also has great deals and prices on lever four Nioxin shampoo, and scalp therapy. Also, If you purchase the huge bottles of the Nioxin (1000 ml 33.8 fl oz!) it lasts from 3-6 months depending on how much hair you have. For those of you who are currently displeased with your with your hair, you'll LOVE your hair after using Nioxin. Nioxin improves every hair problem.  For those of you who are satisfied with the condition of your hair, Nioxin will only make it better. Nioxin works by  improving your hair from every angle beginning at the root. In time you will notice thinning hairs, damaged hair, oily hair, frizzy hair, and dull hair are no longer problems for you. I personally have blonde hair, which used to damage my hair no matter what I did. If it wasn't for Nioxin I probably would have had no choice but to dye my hair back brown to stop the damage from the color. Nioxin literally wiped out my damage due to chemical processing. Overall, I would not use anything else. The funniest part is I got my 56 year old father hooked on it, and he is the last person who would be interested in hair products! He has more hair now, he says, than in his twenties! Please leave me a comment on viewpoints after you have success with Nioxin. (p.s. one las tip: Nioxin has 4 levels 1,2,3,4 - don't switch numbers. For example: don't get the three system because it is on sale when you usually use 4; it doesn't work as well. Nioxin stabilizes it's specific number recipe starting at the root of your hair. If your root doesn't recognize it's set ingredients it doesn't' perform as well (still amazing) but you want to make sure you get the best out of the system. I love Nioxin and recommend it to all my friends, family and anyone who will listen.
