Growing up, my family typically used whatever generic store brand shampoo and conditioner we happened to grab. I later developed sensitivities to perfumes which sadly prevented me from using products like Pantene Pro V, Suave and Garnier Fructise. I loved the smell of Burt's Bees products, but they dried out my scalp and left me feeling itchy and my hair feeling rough. Additionally, after coming down with Lyme disease and requiring powerful doses of antibiotics to treat that and other related illnesses, my hair started falling out. On top of that, I now have thyroid trouble which also contributes to my thinning hair. Hair loss isn't a widespread complaint among 24-year-olds, so I didn't know that there was anything I could do about it until my stylist mentioned Nioxin three years ago. I bought a small portion of the cleanser and conditioner on a holiday discount and have been hooked ever since! My hair still falls out at the same rate, I would say, but I'm positive it's due to my underlying health issues that Nioxin simply isn't designed to treat. However, the Nioxin definitely makes my remaining hair look great. My hair is very fine, and heavy conditioners can make it look greasy and dirty mere hours after a shower. That's not a problem with Nioxin. Aside from the previous issues, I also have dry and very sensitive skin and certain shampoo perfumes give me asthma attacks. The Nioxin conditioner keeps my scalp moisturized without causing an itchy reaction. Rather than causing an asthma attack, the fresh peppermint scent of this shampoo is almost like aroma therapy and feels like it opens my airways! It's a wonderful way to wake up in the morning and feel invigorated. The only reason I wouldn't suggest you purchase some of this great hair care line is if you're not a fan of peppermint! Otherwise, I can't think of anything negative about it!

As a woman already into my forties, it would be foolish for me to claim that my hair displays the same lustrous full quality that it did 20 years ago. Nioxin, however, is helping me restore my fullness with actually visible results. My hair was damaged, as at some point I had failed to condition it and let it develop split ends and a very dry quality. When I first applied Nioxin, I was a bit appalled by the chemical smells coming from the bottle. After scrubbing it into my hair, however, it gave my hair a minty-fresh feeling. After several months of using this shampoo, I came to realize that my hair loss was definitely decreasing, which my teenage daughter spoke about as well. She also remarked that my hair was shinier and healthier looking. I would definitely recommend this shampoo to anyone who is experiencing hair loss, as this is a better alternative, in my opinion, than to other remedies or Rogaine/other chemicals.

I started using Nioxin when I was told about a friend's son who at the time was only eighteen years old. His dermatologist recommend he try this because he was losing his hair. It was probably four months later when I saw him again and noticed how much new hair growth there was on his scalp. He told me that he uses it every time he shampoos and that he thought the results "were awesome!" It was then that I decided to try Nioxin. I talked to my dermatologist about it and she told me that it sure wouldn't hurt to try and see if it would work. I found out through research that the style that would be for my problem hair was the Nioxin Cleanser, System 2 for noticeably thinning hair. I bought a small bottle of it just to see what could happen. It had a fresh, minty smell to it. It went on my scalp and was actually cool and refreshing. After a few months, I noticed that the back of my scalp wasn't showing much through my hair anymore. The top of my head was also sprouting new growth. I continued to use it, buying larger bottles on line and today I am buying the miracle Nioxin by the gallon! I have been using Nioxin for over two years now and I no longer have balding spots. I am thrilled. I wouldn't stop using Nioxin for anything. Finally, a product that works for me!!

I have been using Nioxin cleanser for fine hair and,I can't believe the difference it has made in my hair. About 9 months ago i went to my monthly hair appointment, when my hairdresser noticed that my hair was thinning out on top.  Jimmy suggested  Nioxin cleanser and scalp treatment for fine hair. At first I saw no difference but after about 2 months my hair felt and looked fuller, even my husband noticed. Now each month when i go to have my hair done Jimmy tells me how much fuller and better my hair looks.Also people at work have comment how much better my hair looks. I myself can tell because it looks fuller and feels more alive, I feel i can do more with my hair now.I no longer have to brush it over to one side to hide my thin hair. Now 9 months later I feel good about my hair again , I will continue to uses Nioxin because i will always have thin hair but Nioxin will help me hold on to what i have now.

I went to the salon to see what could be done with my hair. My hair is so fine and thin. Thinning to the point where you can see my scalp. The lady at the salon suggested for me to try the Nioxin shampoo and scalp therapy. I was kinda hesatent being the cost was for these two items was outragous but I was desperate. I tried the shampoo and scalp therapy and to my surprise my hair was looking thicker and I wasnt losing so much hair as before. It was worth every penny.
