This device, the Game boy player jet attaches onto the bottom of your Nintendo Gamecube. Just take off the cover, attach it, (screws attached to the player are optional, just for tightening onto the system) put in the gameboy player disc, and you're ready to play! This accessory is a good alternative to those small handheld device screens. It goes on your TV! It can read gameboy color, and gameboy advance games. It's also a good alternative to needing 2 gameboys to trade or connect and play games as well. The format and design of the OS for gameboy player is very easy to learn. There are customizable screens, screen size, some button configuration, and even a reset. In 1994, something really amazing was released for the Super Nintendo. No, not Donkey Kong Country, in fact, it wasn't even a game per se. It was the Super Game Boy. This towering cartridge had a slot right down the middle for Game Boy games, which when used in conjunction with the Super Nintendo system, could display and play the games on a regular TV. No longer did kids (and adults) have to squint at their greenish screens and huddle under a light source at home. It was a great idea from Nintendo, proving a hit with consumers and critics alike. This idea was revived on the Gamecube with the Game Boy Player, and much like its predecessor, is a solid accessory. This time around, support for Game Boy Advance games were the focal point, as evidenced by the size of the game slot. Your larger, regular Game Boy games also work, looking a bit funny sticking halfway out. What can you say? Whether you're playing Pokemon Blue or Sapphire, it's just great to have a large screen to play it on. There are a lot of worthwhile games on the Game Boy format, and hopefully more people will appreciate them with this great accessory.

The Nintendo GameBoy Player for the Nintendo GameCube is something every GameBoy Advance fan should have.  This device plugs into the bottom of your GameCube and allows you to project GBA and GB games on your TV.  One downside to doing this is the games were not meant to be blown up so big, so they can get a little pixely sometimes.  Other than that there really are no cons to this device.  You can play with either the GameCube controller or by plugging your GameBoy Advance to the GameCube through a connection cable.  If you play a lot of GBA games then this is a must so you can stop looking at that tiny screen and see something bigger.  The original GBA did not have a backlit screen, so eye strain can happen a lot and it can be hard to see the screen.  When hooked up to the GameBoy Player you'll never have those problems again.  Because it plugs into the bottom of the GCN it doesn't need it's own power source and it can be left attached when not in use.  The downside is you must put in a GameBoy Player disc when ever you want to use it so the GCN knows what to boot up.
