My Husband's Canon PowerShot ELPH 16.0-Megapixel 115 IS - Silver is really handy for taking smaller photos. Not as good quality as my Nikon, but still an amazing piece of hardware. The girls love carrying it around and using it to take photos on field trips, which they then print out and put in their scrapbooks at home. I use it sometimes as well, for taking photos of art projects, like the Chess board stand he is making, or the books I made. The quality of picture, while not as good as some of the professional grade cameras, is still good enough to get some pretty decent shots of the Aurora as well, when it is seen out in our parts. With an 8x zoom, you can still get pretty close up to what you want photos of, but I wouldn't recommend using it for taking pictures of a Bear in the back yard. But it does take awesome, shake free videos, so it's good for Birthday parties as well.
