Great Camera

The Coolpix L3 digital camera is a very easy and very convenient device to use, specially if you are starting and even for a kid. I passed this camera to my 9 yrs old and she enjoys taking it to field trips and outings and the pictures she takes are great. The image quality is very nice and it has a group of options that are very easy to get to and understand how to use. We love the fact that you can select colors for your pictures. The different type of settings are very nice as well, you can select the auto mode and even a sports function for fast moving images. For the price, this camera is very well worth it. The quality of the pictures is great, very easy to use, compact and very portable.

Good all around point and shoot camera

Let me begin by saying right up front that I am not the tech person. I have to ask my granddaughter to program my cell phone so if you are looking for the technical things than I suggest you read that little book that comes with the camera. What I want to share is the quality of the pictures and how easy it is to use this camera. Image Quality The photos are a good quality and this camera was a replacement camera for a simple point and shoot camera that I had dropped on the payment and now leaks light. The Nikon is a brand that I trust and the coolpix 530 is a good little camera Performance You can take a second or third picture without much time in between. It snaps and lights up quickly where my other camera waited a second or two and I had a lot of nothing shots as a result. This camera is quite a bit different and to be honest if you want to know the details of how a camera works than I am not the person to ask. What I can tell you is for the price it's a great camera. I have owned both pocket size and the SLR -like camera, and this is by far the best camera for the money. I like to make photo books and if the picture is not a good quality they come out grainy and this camera - doesn't do that. The camera has a zoom lens and it is probably more zoom than most camera offer and I have noted that the picture quality seems the same. Ease of Use Still learning but love it thus far. My only concern is the case feels rather slippery and the last one was slippery and I dropped it. Durability This camera is new so not something I can answer. If it's like our other point and shoot it will be good. Battery Life Past experience has taught us to buy only the best quality of batteries. They need to be a photo quality battery and then we always travel with a spare set. Portability This camera is larger than the point and shoot so it takes up more space. For our wants we knew we had made a good choice . when we took a small picture and had it enlarged to a 8x10 . It came out bright and crisp.

Good for point and shoot

My wife had one of these cameras, and we used it throughout college while we were dating. It's a simple point and shoot camera, but for that type, it does take good quality pictures. Image Quality This camera struggles to take high quality pictures at a distance, even when in scenery mode. With enough light, they can come out decently at times, but not good Anouilh to enter in an amateur photo contest. Up close and medium range came out well, although it sometimes struggles inside a building that does not have a lot of natural light. Ease of Use This camera is very simple to use. It is point and shoot, and the auto focus does a pretty good job of focusing on the right objects. Durability We used this camera for several years without any problems. We only stopped using it when we upgraded to a newer model. Portability The slim design allowed us to carry it in a pocket so that we could pull it out at any time for a picture.

Good camera - not that expensive

We bought this camera for my mother about 6 years ago. We purchased it fairly cheaply online. She is not very technically-savvy, but easily learned how to operate this camera. She has used it for every holiday and occasion for the past 6 years. The camera is cute, compact, and easily fits inside of a purse (even a small one). The photos are good quality (not photographer quality by any means), but better than most cell phones. You can easily download the photos to a computer the old fashioned way (with a USB cord). The storage is pretty good. All these years later, the camera is still going strong. She keeps it in a small cloth case to protect it from damage, but it has been dropped without causing any problems. I would recommend this as a first digital camera for teenagers or older people who want something fairly basic. It's hard to break, and it will last a long time, plus the price is probably even better now than it was when I bought it.

Just an average point and shoot.

The Nikon Coolpix S570 Digital Camera was just an average camera in my opinion. It has a decent amount of features on the camera, and allows you to take video as well, but the footage and pictures weren't high quality, they were just average. This camera allows you to change the color effect from regular, to sepia, to vivid, and you can change it to black and white as well. There is one other color effect also but I can not recall the name of it at this moment. The best part of this camera is the "burst mode" which will take up to five photos in a row to try to ensure you capture that perfect picture. I think in order to do this effectively, they need to up the total amount of shots in burst mode to a minimum of ten shots. The battery doesn't last as long as I hoped for, but it wasn't anything that I couldn't work around. The camera was also really easy to use, and it was easy to tote around as well. Durability Every time I dropped it, it got a dent.

Great little camera

This is an excellent camera! I purchased this as a slight upgrade from my other Nikon when it died because of old age. This camera has a large viewing window and is really simple to use. It has a rechargeable battery which does save from having to buy a ton of batteries like my older one and does save some money from that as well although it is harder because you can't keep extras in the carrying case. The options are straight forward and it's easy enough that my 3-year-old can point and shoot with it (of course she's supervised). I think the battery life is pretty good and the camera itself is really durable. The camera is small too and is very portable. It even has a wrist strap that is convenient for when you need your hands free. I have really enjoyed having this camera over the past couple years. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality inexpensive digital camera.

Durable and long-lasting Camera!

We've had this camera for at least three or four years now. It was relatively inexpensive when we purchased it. We've used it year after year for every event, and even dropped it a couple times by accident. This camera is really durable. It seems like we may get another few years of use out of it before we have to get a new one. It takes good photos, and it's easy to download them to a computer. This is your basic model digital camera. It doesn't have a ton of fancy features, but it does the job. My one complaint is the battery life. It seems like the battery doesn't hold a charge for as long as it should. However, that tends to happen as electronics get old. It's simple to charge the battery, and the charger / camera / battery are all nice and compact. It's easy to travel with it. We have an around-the-neck camera bag that we use to carry the camera to events. If you are looking for a cheap, easy-to-use camera that will last many years, this camera is for you. If you are a technology buff looking for a photographer-quality camera, this isn't it. Image Quality Good, not professional quality though. Performance Battery life could be better. Ease of Use Really easy, basic. Durability Dropped several times, and no damage. Battery Life Not long enough. Portability Compact and easy to transport.

Great small camera, color could be better

I purchased this small digital camera for portability - something to travel with, when I didn't want to bring a large camera around. The Nikon Coolpix S570 is a small, easy-to-use digital camera, great for amateur photographers. It has an image-type selection button as most digital cameras, letting you quickly switch from fast-action to scenery to night photograph quality. I feel that the battery could last longer - even after giving it a full charge, the next day it dies far too quickly. I like to go on long hikes and bring this along, but I'm always worrying about the battery dying - I plan on purchasing a second battery to bring along. The image sharpness is almost too sharp, sometimes painful to look at, especially when the flash is used - I tend to keep the automatic flash off to avoid painted-like images results. But overall, this is a compact, great little camera, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to take a few quick shots.

Long lasting

5

I received this has a gift from someone who upgraded on their camera and no longer wanted their Nikon coolpix about a little over a year ago. I was so used to disposable cameras and hardly took pictures to begin with so it didn't even matter what kind of camera I had, at least at the time it didn't. But if there's one thing I thrive to do it's saving money. Given how long this camera has lasted and how worn it is I feel I've done just that. Image Quality The quality is great, crystal clear and well defined. Though blurry pictures are easy to take it seems if I'm not careful or time a picture taking well. Much better quality than the pictures my smartphone takes. Durability I don't treat my camera with the up most care I know I should. I always just throw it in my purse full of random objects or toss it aside on my dresser. Can't even think to being how many times I've dropped it. However there's yet to be one malfunction or dent or scratch from my camera. Battery Life If I use this camera for a all day event, such like going to the zoo and take plenty of pictures, I definitely have to recharge it at the end of the day. However being able to constantly take pictures all day it a bonus. Portability Fits right in my purse and is very light, love being able to have it on me at all times.
